Freshly squeezed pomegranate juice is the drink of choice in Xinjiang.  Pop over to a stall and see the interesting looking metal contraption that’s used as a squeezer. Enjoy!

On our last post we talked about our powder cocktail, V8.0 DETOX. It can be drank however you want, and this is just one of the delicious ways we’ve come up with.

DETOX JUICE by Sepai 

1 handful of kale 

1/2 of lemon 

2 stalks of celery 

1 medium cucumber

2 apples

1 knob of ginger about 2 cm long

1/2 of V8.2 Detox.

Put everything except the apples through the juicer. After that, put the juice on a blender, add the apples and V8.2 Detox and blend. Some chia seeds on top would give it a nicer look. Now just sip, cleanse and enjoy!

One night I went crazy with the Jack LaLanne

My initial purpose was to make the celery tonic from Northern Spy but my eyes were wide at the grocery store and I made a pantheon on juices on a Friday night. Lemon, orange, kiwi, lime, beet, carrot, celery and grape! If you’ll remember, I made a denial tonic with a mix of these fresh juices and ice cold vermouth.

juicing without a juicer!

still working on figuring out the perfect system, but today I chopped up:

• carrots • beet • green apple • ginger

and blended them into a purée. then I added a little bit of water, OJ, and fresh pineapple and blend a bit more.

separating the juice from the pulp was the trippiest step… maybe next time I will try a french press?
