Hi! Made this blog to keep track of my original writing so it doesn't drown in my main blog. This is mostly like a writing diary for me. Follows from my main @burningthetree!

About me; I have been writing since I could basically hold a pen, and I've been telling stories for even longer. Right now, that is mostly fanfiction, as life doesn't allow me as much time to focus on original work, as that does take quite a bit of dedication. But that's why I made this blog, to share my writing as it's in the beginning stages whilst also holding myself accountable!

My finished works;

My WIPs;

a Sci-Fi novel in English titled Ephemeral Minds. This is my priority right now and the outline has been made; I am currently in the planning stage of naming characters/places and drawing maps, and of course, research! Process: 1st draft.

An unnamed Fantasy novel.

An unnamed psychological thriller.

A kid’s story in German and French. Still unnamed. 1/6 of the German part is done.

i have just stumbled upon the most beautiful public document i have ever laid eyes on. this also goes for anyone whose pastimes include any sort of character creation. may i present, the HOLY GRAIL:

this wonderful 88-page piece has step by step breakdowns of how names work in different cultures! i needed to know how to name a Muslim character it has already helped me SO MUCH and i’ve known about it for all of 15 minutes!! i am thoroughly amazed and i just needed to share with you guys

I feel like a lot of writers don’t talk about academic writing burnout. Like….have I been writing? Yes, I have. Pages and pages. More than I’ve ever written.

But I haven’t written anything creative in weeks. My precious book wip collects dust because I cannot bring myself to write more than I already have. It’s an exhausting tug of war between feeling productive and feeling like you haven’t made any progress.

Just a reminder that your wips? Amazing. Your characters? Wonderful. Your world? Lush and palpable. Your writing style? Incredible just by being yours. An imaginary future audience isn’t nearly as important as your feelings for your own creations. Your writing is your own.

Thanks to @amaiguri for tagging me! Post the last 7 lines of your WIP and then tag 7 people. (This forced me to open my WIP in a very, very long time, oops.)

Let me set the scene: Rosy is just incredibly, deeply, relatable and a tad dramatic.

Sure, it had been a bit rocky yesterday, but that shouldn’t be an issue today anymore. Yesterday was yesterday, and today was today. It was as simple as that.

The air outside was chilly, and Rosy almost shivered as she walked down the still deserted street. Almost no cars were seen on the roads, and the only people Rosy encountered were those that were either heading home or to work. At least she wasn’t the only one up at such an early hour, and the more she walked, the more her brain actually woke up from being exhausted. Instead of still being sleepy, she slowly started to feel a little alive, which was more than welcome and very much needed after the disaster that she'd sat through the day before.
