Screaming Females - Criminal Image
From their latest album. Some may disagree, but I think they sound better and better with each release.

Ex Hex - Waterfall
Warm weather here in SF makes it feel like summer's here early!
Not sure how I missed this... but she has a new album coming out next month. Better late than never!
Ty Segall - Feel
Best rock album, from beginning to end, that I've heard in a couple of years.
Tweedy - World Away
The Black Keys - Turn Blue
For some reason, everyone is hating on the new Black Keys album. I, on the other hand, am totally into it. I guess it doesn't help that one of the weaker songs is the first single ('Fever'). But in my opinion, Turn Blue is one of their more soulful efforts. I guess if the internet had its way, the Black Keys would stay a two-man blues-rock group playing midwest garages forever.
Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks - Houston Hades
Chill out: What You See is What You Get by LAKE
Don't Move - Phantogram
Queens of the Stone Age - If I Had A Tail
Atlas Genius - Trojans
While a yearish late to this poppy-rock party I cannot stop listening to this song. Great acousticy buildup that just feels RIGHT.
Please ignore the video - it is trying so hard to be cool/artsy it poked my eye out. The pain hurt so bad I started vomiting and, well, we know how things go from here...
INSTEAD - check out the Lenno remix (so so dope) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imBjPYTD7uw
Atoms for Peace - Reverse Running
Feels like a seamless melding of Thom Yorke's Eraser and most recent Radiohead work. Also it's now impossible for me to listen to his songs and not imagine him dancing around (see also: Ingenue).
Squarepusher - 4001
I used to listen to Squarepusher in undergrad, and I’ve come back to it in a major way with my morning commute on public transit. This song is from the new album ‘Ufabulum.’
Cazzette - Hit Da Face
Another one of those electropop "amazing songs with a terrible name" that builds into an incredibly infectious breaksy beat. 2:18 is the jumpoff. New favorite swedish dj duo for sure.
Currently obsessed with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis new release Heist. Can't hold Us is a stand-out banger shows the force and impact of a truly talented hip hop artist's live set.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Can't Hold Us (Live on KEXP)
Father John Misty - I'm Writing a Novel
Incredible writing paired with a catchy, down-home rhythmic feel. Hilarious and incredibly relatable to us Los Angelenos
Tomas Dvorak - By the Wall (Machinarium OST Bonus EP)
Just in case you needed to be reminded how important music and sound are for games.
