pairing: Oscar “Spooky” Diaz x poc! reader
As soon as he heard the sound of “What a Wonderful World” by Sam Cooke, Spooky knew what day it was
Ceaser nor his friends were allowed inside of the house unless they were ready to spend the entire day cleaning
All he could smell was the sent pine sol and cocoa butter
It was the only time Spooky could manifest his strange desires of seeing you dressed up like an old housemaid which made him fondly remember his mother.
Your natural coils pulled back into a loose bun, yellow rubber gloves enclosed your hands, faded capri-pants, bleach splattered shirt, beat up vans, and a raggedy apron tied around you waist
And it was the only day you could honestly work him almost 12 hours straight
He always made little jokes about your attire here and there under his breath even though he knew that you could hear him.
He just loved doing it to get you riled up
“You look like my mother when you dress like that.”
“Did you just compare me to your mother…”
By 6 am, you were in the kitchen making a hardy breakfast to wake spooky up for the long day ahead of him
By the time breakfast ended, you were rushing him out of the kitchen so he could start on the list of tasks you had ready for him
“Hyna, I haven’t even finished breakfast ye-“
“You got a lot of work ahead of you Spooky. You should be glad I’m rushing you. Now go.”
He would get started on the list asap no rocky
The faster the list was done, the faster we could get back in the house into your arms
Wash the car, fix the roof, fix the sink, fix the broken toilet seat that keeps pinching your butt, etc.
He was never able to get a break until at least half the things on the list were completed
No one really thought you were going to work him like a dog though. He was still a human too.
And by the time he finished with that list another one was waiting for him on the fridge.
“I’m done.”
“No you’re not. Check the fridge my love.”
😤
He would always come in to mess with you while you were in the middle of something important
It never failed
By the time noon came around, you had already fixed lunch
You never let anyone come in the house after all of you hard work, so you guys at lunch outside in the front
It was the only period of time in which you could take a break and relax from the constant smell of bleach and pine sol
You would just lay your head on Spooky’s shoulder and close your eyes for a second
He would just look at your face at admiration. Your features were so peaceful
Just when he would reach out to touch your fac-
“RING! RING!”
Before he had the chance the sound of the kitchen timer rang throughout the entire house like an earthquake
And your eyes immediately shot open
He sighed and cursed harshly under his breath because cleaning time had recommenced
Thank baby Jesus he didn’t have much to do
All he had to do was fix the roof
That was a simple enough task right? Wrong.
Spooky was on top of the house fixing the roof.
And to reward him for his hard work, you had brought him some fresh lemonade knowing he would be thirsty from all the work he had to finish and hot from the beaming summer sun above him
And the sight of him all sweaty and focused kinda turned you on
Just when you were about to take the lemonade outside you heard a loud crash
“BOOM”
You looked outside to see Spooky on the ground next to the ladder on the house.
You thought you had had a mini heart attack at the sight before you
“Ay dios mio! Oscar!”
You immediately rushed to his side to check if he was okay
“Are you okay?? I there anything I can do??? Oh my God. I think you need medical attention.”
“I’m fine Y/N. A wasp nests just startled me that’s all.”
“You need to go to the hospital”
“No I don’t”
“Yes you do”
By the time you had given up trying to make Oscar go to the hospital, you both were laughing at his lil’ mishap
“A wasp nest? Really? What happened to the fearless Spooky I once knew huh?”
He would just look at you with a scowl on his face.
“Well, let’s just call it a day, yea? Besides I could use a nice long hot shower myself.”
Now his scowl had turned into a slight smirk.
I guess the other cleaning tasks could wait until next cleaning day
