we're doing a presentation night tomorrow on any topic and I chose the estimated lore timeline of the Psychonauts franchise, so I'm putting it here! Enjoy below!

What's your favorite aspect of the Portal franchise? :0

Probably the humor. the games are super funnyyy. especially the second. it's what i remember most fondly when playing. But my second favorite thing that i can talk more in depth about is the relationship dynamic between Chell and GLADOS!! With the addition of Wheatley in the 2nd. Cause of them it's probably why i and many others even drew fanart for the game as long as i did.

drawing is slightly related in this regard. i like this quote from the portal 2 final hours book. it reaffirms my thoughts of wheatley being an important character in the dynamic and not just some companion turned cheap villain. he's CENTRAL to da STORY!

The humor is a peak and necessary aspect of every portal franchise game, even if it's not part of the main plot! And Wheatly not being a throwaway plot device and actually being integral to the worldbuilding means so much because it truly shows what someone like him in his shoes would do!!!

aaking this more of as a tip (if u do do it) but do you protect your art from ai ooliecat?

ive heard of nightshade, noise filters to put over your art, etc. but im not sure if i should use them. some people say they do work some people say they dont but lowk what do you think.....

i think very very early on i used those nightshade filters but i don't anymore. Like you said, i heard they don't work either. Either with just the overlay alone or that ai models have gotten past those roadblocks. not sure.

I hope i don't sound like a complacent doomer as i say this; I'll condemn ai forever and i'd definitely be upset if my work ever gets used in tandem with it but like. i kind of prepare for that reality with posting on the internet at all. it's not INEVITABLE that MY art will get stolen but there's always a chance of it happening. Someone either tracing, stealing, selling, or ai training my stuff because its just free for the taking as a png. Watermarks and anti-ai filters are definitely effective but there's always ways around them if the person is desperate enough. If someone wanted to steal they WOULD.

Ok despite saying all that, i have nothing against anti ai-filters. There's probably some out there that work. And even if they only work Occasionally, if they make you feel safer to post your stuff online then i say do it. Like if putting a big ass transparent watermark on your casual work helps you sleep at night. Then like!!! do it!!!!! Put as many anti-stealing measures you want. Don't let my gloom get in the way of your worries.
