I diiiiiiiid iiiiiiiit (they are both the same size now)

This was a slog, for reasons unrelated to the pattern and entirely related to my own brain. But I am happy with how they came out (or know I will be once the finishing-a-project funk subsides)

Mods I made to the pattern:

Added HELLA calf shaping (Way past size large at the calf, down to size small at the ankle. Seriously can anyone wear unshaped mid-calf socks??)

Not necessarily a modification because the pattern offered no guidance in this regard, but figured out how to keep both colours of yarn anchored on the sides of the knit-flat heel flap

Switched from a pointed toe to symmetrical foot shaped toes, and did something very clever to bring the stripes across the front of the toe to finish it off nicely

Built a tagging system because I’m a perpetual project frogger and yarn hoarder.

So far it’s made me want to actually use the yarn instead of hiding it away because I threw away the label in a cleaning furry.

This is how far I’ve gotten on my star blanket to help me not put my new yarn into stash limbo. I believe it’s a little over 30 inches across.

My hands are kind of sore but I’ve got tiger balm, ice packs, and stretches to get me through it.
