A concept: Louis and Lestat, tired of vampire drama, move to a residential human neighborhood

Their next door neighbor is an elderly widow named Geraldine. She thinks Louis is the nicest young man. He plays bridge with her on Tuesday nights.

Lestat likes to flash his fangs at the kids next door and run a little too fast when they're watching because he knows nobody will ever believe them.

Louis has never had to do anything for himself and has no practical life skills so Lestat gets stuck doing all the housework.

The family at the end of the street got one of those trendy backyard chicken coops but unfortunately Louis went...a little too long without feeding. Lestat had to make up a story about seeing a feral dog in the neighborhood to cover for him.

Soccer mom Linda in 507 has the hots for Lestat because he totally looks like that goth rock frontman from the 80s who called himself a vampire.

Linda's teenage daughter loves Twilight and wants to climb Louis like a tree.

No one knows how old they are or how long they've been together. They look twenty-something at best but there's a photo on their mantle of them in front of a theater that definitely closed in 2004.

The cashiers at the local grocery store have never seen them buy food. They come in every couple months thirty minutes before closing for hand soap and dryer sheets.

the lovely @emileesaurus bought me a coffee so I drew her slightly-less-disastrous-than-canon disaster boys, from tinderbox. in the last chapter Louis promised to read to Lestat, but also in the last chapter they started doing kissing so like. I’m really not seeing the likelihood of consistent reading being super high…

Louis’ hair is what happens when ya boy runs his hand through it when it’s tied back…, ie a Mess.

REQUEST FILL #6: “Jesse Reeves” (& bonus Gabrielle)

okay, okay, @ varignon, I know this isn’t EXACTLY what you requested, but I was sketching Jesse and suddenly really wanted Gabrielle in the picture as well. It’s a very rare ship. Figured they could use some art. You understand. 

Also, this is the first time I’ve ever illustrated Jesse Reeves, which is crazy considering she and I share the same name.

I remember how my heart skipped when I first read Lestat’s line:

“Love you, Jessica.” 

I’m definitely a mentally stable person who makes good life choices.

Considering Louis’s confusion about the word “bullshit” as well as his general obliviousness… dare I say this is how that one part of IWTV should actually go

And sometimes I found myself so vividly aware of him it was as if he had only just left the room and the ring of his voice were still there. And somehow there was a disturbing comfort in that, and, despite myself, I’d envision his face - not as it had been the last night in the fire, but on other nights, that last evening he spent with us at home, his hand playing idly with the keys of the spinet, his head tilted to one side. A sickness rose in me more wretched than anguish when I saw what my dreams were doing…
