Louie de multi-millionaire pointe du "my shoes" lac saying they should live in a trailer park in the desert I'm -
They could have Lestat do a one man show of the cinematic masterpiece Spice World in the final episode, full run time, and people would be like, "he's an unreliable narrator." "You have to watch it a few times."
so no head?
A lot of moments this season that are like “hey you know if you fail to pull off satire then you’re just Doing The Thing, right”
And then other fans are like no no you don’t get it it’s on purpose!! Like no I know it’s on purpose. I see exactly what they’re trying to do. It’s just not working.
sorry jarda for kicking you out
THANK YOU KIND STRANGER I APPRECIATE YOU
walk it off
AMC really struck gold with the unreliable narrator idea because now people will insist that any flaw in the storytelling is actually a genius premeditated reflection of a fallible narrator, any pacing issues are actually a genius premeditated reflection of a characters psyche, and any lack of character development is actually a genius premeditated reflection on a characters refusal to face their own trauma, and having cheap looking production is actually a genius premeditated reflection of a characters memories, and any unwarranted deviation from the source material is actually a genius premeditated lie that will be proven false at some unspecified point, and any poor handling of sensitive subjects is actually a genius premeditated commentary on the characters own failings, etc, etc.
If the show gets renewed for a 4th season, they NEED to have a black woman writer in that writers room
Is the dialogue of this season compromised entirely of down voted reddit comments
Camp is self aware but what season 3 is doing isn’t camp. If anything it’s become too self aware, too constantly aware of its audience to perform true camp. It hampers itself, second guesses itself, spotlights its own insecurities. It’s so self conscious, so concerned with the audience’s reaction— both in pleasing and disgusting them— that the performance cannot support its own scaffolding. It buckles under its own weight. The center doesn’t hold. When they write season 4 they need to be locked in a remote cabin with no internet and have their phones confiscated. It’s simply the only way forward after this
does anybody know if my chemical romance is good or evil
DAMN HELLO MAMA
like Claudia & Armand
pretty sure 'Gabriella' is a Hannah Moscovich self-insert. I'm not sure what else could explain this misogynistic storyline that loses all of the richness of the character from the book. Tried to wait and give the portrayal the benefit of the doubt but there's nothing
I'm watching the show with a non-book reader and she asked: it's funny that after iwtv Anne Rice wrote a comedy isn't it? And if that doesn't say everything wrong with this season I don't know what does. Another one said it's only sex jokes incest (and incest jokes) and drugs. (And what's up with all the sexist jokes???!!)
It's a bad adaptation of the book. And it's a bad S3 of an ongoing series. I hope they have a plan bc at the moment it doesn't feel like it. And they are going to start losing watchers.
I still love the actors. I still love the actors playing the characters. I don't hate the whole season (Episode 3 was peak). But I am so disappointed. I was expecting something on the level of iwtv S1/2 and this ain't it.
Now I just want to read the book again.
oof. i truly hate that this is how non-book readers are being introduced to these characters and this world. i agree, it is an inexcusably bad adaptation. it makes me feel some fondness for 2002 qotd, and i didn't think that was possible.
they sadly do have a plan: this was it. everything we're seeing on screen was an intentional choice made by hannah and rolin; they made the decision to abandon most of the canon in favour of their bullshit original modern day plotlines.
please revisit the book. i've been listening to the new audible audiobook, and it's a lovely mental palate cleanser! the narrator is so good.
