grandparents always hate on my hair (my bangs are very long and hide my eyes, and my hair is dyed) so i bought a long bangless wig in my natural color to wear to terrorize my grandparents with crossdressing instead

Any politician, organization, or activist who calls for people to restrain themselves is effectively creating the conditions for more kidnapping and murder.
If we want others to understand this murder as a tragedy, we must ourselves behave as though it is a tragedy. Otherwise, we can be sure that ICE will go on kidnapping and murdering with impunity.
As Democrat politicians talk about the supposed necessity of "maintaining order" in the wake of an ICE agent murdering a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis, remember—the movement of 2020 only spread countrywide because a police station burned, and polls showed that the movement *improved* Democrat polling.
If Democrats want to "maintain order," it's because they want to lose.
i love london
Description: two images of an ad spot at a bus station. The spot has been filled with a poster showing the infamous salute at the US inauguration in 2025, with the X logo above and the words: Delete your account -- If the bar lets Nazis in, it's a Nazi bar.

Put ICE on ice. Unmask them.
If you're in the US military or National Guard, and are given an illegal or unconstitutional order, the GI Rights hotline (1-877-447-4487) is there to help give you the support you need to do the right thing by refusing it. It would be good to think about this now before it becomes a live issue for you and it would be smart of you to memorize that number.
You can reblog this without your thoughts about the US Military, btw, that's allowed.
In fact: you SHOULD share it without your thoughts on the US Military. If someone in the military sees this number and is considering it, they already know. Just let them see the resource.
I’ve noticed some posts around about how you can’t romanticize your life during a fascist regime and while I deeply sympathize with this sentiment, I want you to try to understand that’s what they want you to believe.
Fascism thrives best in the cesspool of hopelessness. They want us so confused and hopeless that we give in. When you give in, you don’t fight back.
If you wait for life to look good to do the things that bring you joy; life will still be bad - you will just have less joy.
As someone who has struggled with my mental health a lot for the last thirty years, I know this struggle firsthand. And changing this belief system - the one where you spend all of your time expecting bad things so you won’t be surprised when they happen - it’s the hardest work that I have ever done. And I’m not perfect; I still have setbacks. I still experience really real fears about the state of the world and the US, in particular, because that’s where I live.
But I made a vow to myself that I will not let the choices of others ruin my life. When I made that vow, I was thinking of my parents - but it applies to the state of the government right now, too.
There are still flowers in my garden, and ripe tomatoes, and it’s almost pick-your-own apples season, and I have plans with my friends to go to as many cemetery ghost walks as we can find this October.
I still deserve to live. I still deserve to laugh. I still deserve to love. I still deserve to be as happy as I can be.
And you do, too.
Dan Savage.

“One is responsible to life: It is the small beacon in that terrifying darkness from which we come and to which we shall return. One must negotiate this passage as nobly as possible, for the sake of those who are coming after us.”
— The Fire Next Time, James Baldwin
My flat mate helps rehabilitate pigeons, so it’s gotten out into the pigeon community that our house is safe and we now have between 10-15 pigeons that chill outside of our house sometimes. We received a letter from our neighbour two doors down that was VERY upset about this, claiming we are scaring the native birds away (which never actually lived in this neighbourhood because there is a helicopter pad literally down the road) and how these pigeons and their awful cooing (ah yes, the screeching of our native parrots at 5am is so much nicer) are causing her young daughter extreme emotional distress. She’s told her (not asked, told) to stop feeding the pigeons.
Well, I offered my best solution: start feeding the seagulls instead.
Now, you might be thinking “but won’t she be just as mad about them? They scream and are aggressive!” And yes, they are truely horrible birds, but the two species of seagulls we have here in Welly are actually native birds, and even more importantly are either “at risk” or just full on critically endangered. In fact, some of the native species she mentioned are actually overpopulated to the point where the zoo, which takes in native injured birds, will not take them in.

Following the vandalism of at least 11 government vehicles or rentals driven by federal mercenaries at a hotel in Eagan, Minnesota last night, it's safe to say—you don't want to stay at a hotel that hosts ICE, or even park your vehicle there.
You don't want to host them at your hotel, either.
Avelo Airlines cuts ties with ICE, ends deportation flights - al.com
The budget carrier signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security in April 2025.
Avelo Airlines, the only commercial carrier believed to have been operating full deportation flights on a regular basis for the Trump administration, is ending its relationship with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will no longer charter those deportations.
The budget carrier signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security in April 2025 to operate ICE flights out of Arizona, drawing immediate protests and calls to boycott.
At the time, the airline acknowledged the decision may be controversial but said it was expected to support company expansion and job protection. However, after less than a year since inking the deal, Avelo has admitted that the program became too costly and complex to continue.
CEO Andrew Levy acknowledged the backlash in an email to employees late Tuesday.
“We moved a portion of our fleet into a government program which promised more financial stability but placed us in the center of a political controversy,” Levy wrote in the email, obtained by CNBC.
“The program provided short-term benefits but ultimately did not deliver enough consistent and predictable revenue to overcome its operational complexity and costs.” (aph)
KEEP PROTESTING AND KEEP MOBILIZING. IT WORKS. IT IS NOT HOPELESS AND IT WORKS.
Anton LaVey believed in and practiced magic; and while he himself leaned towards the right and even flirted with fascism, The COS was not political.
The Satanic Temple is very much involved in politics, is in fact secular humanist -- a political orientaton that fundamentalist Christians have branded as satanic since the 1970s (at least ). Moreover, by donning the mask of a bona fied religion, they have successfully challenged the religious right's own efforts to insinuate Christianity into the government.
The Baphomet statue was an ingenious example of this tactic: Christians plead the 1st amendment in an effort to get a monument to the Decalogue installed on the grounds of a courthouse and TST responded by erecting their own monument to Baphomet. If the Christians insist that faith has a place in public, then they have no legal grounds on which to oppose the Baphomet; but if they do oppose it, then they forfeit their right to have their own religious displays -- either way TST wins!
So you see, the Satanism isn't there just for shock value; it is part of a well conceived strategy to fight the religious right on its own terms.
Always reblog First Amendment Baphomet (I hear TST has plenty of its own problems, but I'm not sharing this for their sake)
Read more about the statue on Wikipedia, which was crowdfunded in 2014 and finished in 2015. It was used as an argument in Oklahoma and Arkansas, and inspired at least two similar displays in Florida and Iowa.
Another trickster touch: The 700 attendees at the unveiling ceremony had to "sell their souls to Satan" in order to receive a ticket, a tactic that the Temple stated was done in order to "keep away some of the more radical superstitious people who would try to undermine the event."
