📚 2025 December Fic Rec 📚
I hope you enjoy my recommendations and take the time to read them. Make sure to leave some love for the authors for their time and creativity. ♡♡♡ Sorry there is not a lot this month. Heated Rivalry had taken over my life and I had to binge watch the show and binge read both books. Ill do better swear (:
🦋 What If It’s Us? | 73k | @chloehl10
Summary: Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are from two completely different worlds. One a successful pop star, one a bookshop owner with a not so small fan crush on said pop star. Their paths were never supposed to cross - idol and fan was their only destiny. Until it wasn’t.
Review: This one was such a cute read. I loved Harry being a fan boy and then them getting together. The whole bookshop meeting was adorable. It gives me false hope that this could happen to me haha! I wish we got to see more of their relationship like after they’re official and go public, that would’ve been so fun to read.
🦋 Someday We Gonna Fall in Love | 24k | @gricha91
Summary: Or a uni au where Harry falls in love with Louis, a music student, and he falls in love back.
Review: This one was cute and sweet. Harry is such a jealous little boy and I loved it haha! I also liked how soft and loving Louis was with Harry. His gentle touches and pet names were super cute. I also love a little jealousy trope drama, and there was a bit of that towards the ends which was fun.
🦋 I Want To Tell You That I Love You (But I Can’t Speak) | 30k | tippitytap
Summary: Harry is hit with another depressive episode and his therapist is only available in six weeks. In contrast to when he went through this the first time, he has Louis by his side and together - and with a lot of love - they make it through those six weeks
Review: Wow. This story was beautifully done. The way Harry navigated his depression and us getting to see what he was going through was lovely. As someone that had depressive episodes, it definitely was portrayed very similarly. I also adored Louis in this fic in how supportive and gentle he was. I also loved how he had a moment to break down too because depression really does affect those around you. This was a lovely story. I kind wish we got a bit more at the end with them together outside of the episode, but I truly did love how it ended because it was super meaningful.
🦋 Green In the Morning And Blue In the Afternoon | 14k | @thelavendrhaze
Review: I love FRIENDS, so I really enjoyed this. I loved the references from the show that the author snuck in. Of course, them being a Larry version of Chandler and Monica just makes so much sense. I honestly wanted more because it was so fun and cute to read.
🦋 The Money Mark | 52k | @brightgolden
Summary: Where Louis is Harry's first sugar daddy who dumped him over text and their paths cross, seven years later.
Review: Oh, I love ABO, sugar baby, and age gap fics. Check the boxes for that. I enjoyed the story so much and I loved how easily they got comfortable with one another. I found it funny that Harry was worrying about whether this thing with Louis was real all the while Louis is so obviously in love him and treating him like such a sweet heart. I kinda wish there was more drama, like a big confession of feelings but that’s me being antsy. However, Louis did handle the small bit of drama very well and it led to a cute confession. I also enjoyed reading a rut cycle as opposed to a heat cycle. I need more of those.
🦋 Operation Kissmass | 11k | @ursulalequeen
Summary: Louis runs his office on order, professionalism, and under control. Harry is his assistant and against all of those. This Christmas, with a little intervention from their friends, they realise that dislike and attraction are not as separate as either of them believed.
Review: I love humor fics like this. I also loved how much Harry and Louis bickered with one another. It was so funny and really enjoyable to read.
🦋 Heated Rivalry | Rachel Reid
Summary: Nothing interferes with pro hockey star Shane Hollander’s game. Now that he’s captain of the Montreal Voyageurs, he won’t let anything jeopardize that—definitely not the sexy rival he loves to hate. Boston Bears captain Ilya Rozanov is everything Shane’s not. The self-proclaimed king of the ice, he’s as cocky as he is talented. No one can beat him—except Shane. Publicly, they’re enemies. Privately, they can’t stop touching each other.
Review: Yes, I had to read this book. For those of you who are looking for m/m stories outside of the Larry fandom, I recommend this. I lowkey read the story, watched the show, and then read the story again. It's so nice to actually know what the characters looked like and how they sound. Made the book so much more vivid. Gosh. I love it.
🦋 The Long Game | Rachel Reid
Summary: Ilya is sick of secrets. Shane has gotten so good at hiding his feelings, sometimes Ilya questions if they even exist. The closeness, the intimacy, even the risk that would come with being open about their relationship…Ilya wants it all. It’s time for them to decide what’s most important—hockey or love. It’s time to make a call.
Review: I love Shane and Ilya. They are so Larry coded. These stories honestly gave me "unbelievers" vibes but them being on different teams. I really enjoyed it, and it was fun reading a story outside my typical larry fics. I totally recommend it, and I absolutely cannot wait for season 2 of the show to come out (whenever it does). So many good components here. Shane and Ilya are such lover boys.
