If you are on thin ice, YOU MAY follow me and interact with my posts, but YOU MAY NOT message me directly or ask questions in my ask box unless it is to discuss commissions or is an emergency. Anonymous Asks

Anon asks are open, but there are are RULES! Please follow them to make sure they stay open for a long time!

If I get anon hate or an anon talks N$FW to me (or is in general being really weird/creepy), anon asks will close for a week. Each time after doubles the previous penalty, and one week of no anon hate (while anon is on) takes a day off the next penalty.

So essentially, the first penalty comes around, wears off, and there's two weeks before the next hate/nsfw message comes in. The time where anon asks are off is then 12 days, because 7*2-2=12. The minimum penalty time is 7 days, so you can never go below that.

If people start exploiting this, the penalty will begin to triple and it will take two weeks to take off a day, and the next time I see exploitation it goes to quadrupling and three weeks to take off a day, and so on and so forth.

I am NOT going to tell you when anon asks are turned on and off. You'll have to see for yourself.

The 2026 Gender Census is now open!

The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

canon is what happens in the text. e.g. merlin tries to poison morgana

a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.

fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.

these are all different words with different meanings.

Okay, so I miiiight have a fic that has been simmering on the back burner for far too long. It's done, but it also has quite a few concepts that no one here has heard of except for @leefl00f (we've been exchanging headcanons and creature feature ideas for quite a while now), which is why I hesitate to actually share it.

It's switch!Shadow Milk, lee!Black Sapphire, post-corruption but pre-beast binding, hurt/comfort/shmilk not knowing how to be a dad, 3.4k words.

Curious if people would like me to actually release it, because I'd otherwise love to share my work with the masses, so let's do a bit of a challenge!

There are four (4) new creatures that require elaboration before I feel comfortable releasing the fic. For every twenty (20) notes this post gets, I'll release a Creature Feature. After they're all explained, I'll share the fic. At one hundred (100) notes, I'll share some extra non-required info/headcanons about a secret creature, plus some juicy angst :3c

I leave for camp in four (4) days, and I won't be back for another three (3) weeks. Have fun!
