buck taking theo to the doctor’s and them asking for any history of health issues on “either side of the family” and buck does get a little sad when he has to mention daniel’s leukemia, but then he remembers he has to mention kameron’s family—and does, doing his best with what information he remembers off the top of his head—and then, without even thinking about it, starts rattling off health issues in eddie’s family before he quickly realizes that the kid isn’t even biologically related to him, nor is eddie theo’s dad or anything, even if theo does look up to eddie, seeks him out constantly, and always asks buck if eddie can come over. even if eddie loves theo with all his heart and ruffles his hair just like he does to chris’s, runs over without a second thought to give theo hugs when buck brings him over, and always includes theo into their plans like he’s already woven into the fabric of their family and—

oh.

they are a family aren’t they, and shit, theo is eddie’s as much as he’s buck’s—fuck, buck’s in love with eddie, isn’t he?
