These well known stories have been adapted too many times that inevitably one needs to justify the new adaptation and generate interest by making some bold statements.

For which, imo, this adaption decided to do by their casting to incite discourse.

To be fair, you always get 1 or 2 odd ones in these movies, but this one seemed hell bent on making every casting controversial one way or another.

It’s especially weird because Nolan sorta guarantee interests on his own and really didn’t need cheap tricks like this.

However, I think the trailer was okay (yes “daddy/dad” took me out).

And the 5min I saw of the Trojan horse scene was pretty good.

I still think it’s worth checking out despite my eyebrows being raised and hadn’t come down since Damon was named the titular character and Tom Holland for Telemachus.

Denmark thought UK’s staging from a couple of years ago was great and decided to replace simulated prison sex with, I guess regular people

Finland’s violin 100% carried the song. It was so on fire the violinist was pure boss mode.

As usual I like the ballads but I couldn’t really say any one in particular stood out.

Don’t really have a fave this year yet.

Italy. Not feeling it this year.

Germany saw that Spain is not participating so decided to copy Spain 2025’s dance routine and replaced the rest with a worse song and MV.

I quite like France’s entry despite the mixing in the MV was very poor. But I’ve got a feeling that people might feel like they’re a bit too late to that party with fancy vocals.

UK frankly is a surprise. I shall get popcorn ready for the popular votes.
