Hey, fellow baby witch here and I wanted to ask a question about sigil magick! Even before I got into witchcraft, certain thoughts or feelings would push me to draw sigils, as if I was being guided to do so. And I still follow this method for making my sigils. But I don't use any number method or anything like that. I don't know what to make of this, can I draw sigils like this and would they work?
So the short answer is yes you can do this and they will work just like any other sigil you would draw with a number method or whatever other method you chose.
A little elaboration on the topic. Sigils that you draw are supposed to be personalized to you for whatever purpose you give them. I recommend the number or chart methods to those who are new to sigils or may not be creative enough to feel comfortable to just draw something out. If you feel compelled to just draw something out then I feel that there is a reason behind why that sigil was given to you and I think sometimes they hold a lot of power behind them (but that’s a topic for another day). If this is how you draw out sigils then continue away! They will work just as well!
Thanks again for the awesome and happy practicing!
Are you still doing sigils? If so could you make one for healing please?
Alright, so I have not posted anything on them in a while and I am sorry to say that my sigil requests and tarot readings are CLOSED at this time. I’m super sorry in advance, but I have lost my method of drawing out sigils and then sending them so I am not doing them as of right now!
I’m very sorry for this you guys! I will remember this post and your request and will come to you first when I reopen them again! Again I’m very sorry!
okay, im going to try and not be awkward with this. but is it possible if people could reblog this post? i want to promo my discord server again !!
my discord server is just a small little server that specializes on fictionkin/otherian stuff, self shippers, and witchy stuff !! we have some bots, probably too many bots.

Hello everyone! Welcome to part one of our lets talk series here! Today’s topic is going to be Tarot! Today we are going to be talking about finding a tarot deck that is just right for you.
So in this I will be talking about the two most common ways of obtaining your deck which are: Buying your Deck and Making your Deck. Let’s get right into this!
Making Your Deck
So this honestly deserves a post all to itself which is on the way, but for now I will touch on some of the basics!
I personally recommend for your first deck that you purchase it. I don’t want to knock making your own deck because it is a fun and very spiritual experience, but it is also very time consuming. You don’t want to put lots of time and money into making a deck just to find out that you really don’t like reading tarot and then have no use for the deck, right? That’s the primary reason, but trust me when I say making your own deck has it’s perks. Let’s begin!
First you need to gather your supplies. You’re going to need whatever medium you’re going to use for art if you’re going to use art and if you’re not going to use art then whatever writing utensils needed. Next get the paper you will be using. I suggest using card stock. If you need another type of paper for your art (ex: watercolor paper, lined paper, copy paper) then use that and glue it onto the card stock. Then you will also need some type of finishing product that you can use on paper to make the cards slick. I suggest Modge Podge for this as it seems to be the best one I’ve found.
Once you have all your materials then you can begin making your cards. Make sure that you are looking into not just the name of the card but are also looking into the meaning of the cards to pick your design. You can reference other pictures or cards or whatever inspires you the most for your cards.
Pay attention to what you’re looking at or what you’re making. Pay close attention to the art you’re using. Why are you choosing that? Why are you using those colors? What did you feel when making that card? I also suggest making a journal for your cards (more on this later) and make a section specifically for the making of the cards. Write down anything you’re thinking or feeling about the cards. Make sure that you keep this with the deck later and you will find out why!
After you’re done with the cards and have put some sort of finishing product on them then you are done! You can now look through the “What Now?” section for what to do next down below!
Buying Your Deck
This can be just as spiritual and fun as making your own deck so don’t fret or think that this is any different.
To purchase your deck I will advise of you to not just go into the closest store that sells them or go to the cheapest store online and buy just any deck. Make this a process! I can not stress that enough. Do your research and look at different decks. Look online. Look at local stores. Look in thrift shops. Make sure you take the time to see what you can find.
Look at the decks that draw you to them. What do you like about them? What about their art or style do you like? Are you looking at decks that are similar in look or different? Make yourself a tarot journal that will be specific to these cards. Make a special section that it just for the purpose of writing down all these things. Talk about your favorite decks. What is sticking out to you? What decks are your favorite and why? Just start answering questions like this in that journal. Note what you are feeling when looking at the cards. What do different decks make you feel? Why do you think that you feel that way about the deck?
Once you find the deck that you like most and that calls to you the most then purchase it. Whatever the ultimate reason is just make sure that the deck is special to you. Make sure that you are buying the deck that you like the most and not the deck that you think you should get or anything like that. Trust your gut. In the craft it’s your best friend.
Once you have your deck in your possession then you can go to the next step in this process which is the “What Now?” section of this post.
What Now?
So now you have your tarot deck, so what do you do now? Well I can assure you that you should not just go right into readings. You should cleanse your new deck. How? I’ve got you!
I’m going to walk you through just a couple basic, easy techniques for cleansing your deck. Even though these are basic and easy I can assure you that they are just as effective as any other method! Here are just some of my favorites:
Smoke: Any cleansing bundle most common is sage (what I prefer for convenience) just light it and then hold the deck above where the smoke is and allow the negative energy to flow out of the deck and into the air (remember to cleanse the area you’re doing this in if it is indoors afterwards) and allow the deck to be cleansed thoroughly.
Crystals: You can use any cleansing crystals to cleanse the deck. Some common ones are Tourmaline, Labradorite, Black Obsidian, Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Moon Stone, and Selenite. You can place these on the deck and leave them overnight or meditate with the crystals and the deck (remember to cleanse your crystals when you are done).
Music: You can always play cleansing music and either meditate with the deck and music or just let the music play near the deck and leave the music playing with them while you do whatever for a little while. I use this a lot when I’m meditating or doing dishes or something mundane.
Pulling: I use this technique and I’ve seen it called a lot of things, but I call it “pulling”. This is where you meditate with the cards and pull the negative energy from the deck into your body and then expelling it from your own body through the meditation you’re doing. This can take some time to get the hang of or get used to, so be weary when using this technique, but I like to use this when cleansing my deck after readings to know what kind of negative energy my deck has been picking up.
Cleanse your deck thoroughly and then you are done. I’m sure you’re ready to do some readings, so let’s talk about the first kinds of readings you should be doing is.
Initial Readings
Now I know that from here you want to go into taking your own and maybe even other’s tarot readings, but you should not just jump into this. You need to take some time to get to know your deck. You read that right you need to get to know your deck... now what does that mean?
Something you should know is that every deck is different. Each deck will have their own “personalities” and tone. Take time and sit with your deck and practice your readings by learning your deck (this will also help you to learn the cards meanings more on that in the next part). You should ask your deck questions like the following:
What is your favorite card?
What card best represents you as a deck?
What is your least favorite card?
Which card do you like best for the artwork?
Which card are you excited to use/ show me?
What card represents the tone you wish to portray?
Which card are you least excited to show me/ use?
Also remember to jot these down in that notebook we talked about earlier! This will give you reference about your deck and why it’s going to do what it will in time to come. You should always keep this around for reference with your deck.
Pay attention to the type of cards your deck shows (earth, fire, air, and water) and make note of that as well. Pay attention to the specifics of every card that your deck shows you. Pay attention to the artwork. Pay attention to the meaning. Pay attention to everything.
Remember not to overload the deck either. Even though you may be excited I will encourage you to only ask a few questions at a time. Remember to cleanse after every reading. Yes, I said EVERY reading. All this combined will help you to be able to keep your readings clear and concise in it’s readings.
I really hope that this brings you some basic information about tarot cards and finding your first or maybe your next deck! Next we will cover some helpful tips about learning your cards meanings and just a bit more about the different things that could also be coming from your cards in the reading!
ALSO! Sorry for the late post apparently I had some issues and think I have everything fixed now and running as usual!
I really like @justanotherwitchygirl ‘s constellation sigils so decided to fiddle with them. I took the phone keyboard number-letter association and made a constellation with that as well and then I meshed the two. I drew one and then turned the paper crooked and and drew the other on top of it. I like the results. It makes a slightly more complex one and I also got the idea that you could also combine two different phrases this way as well. Please excuse the poor quality photo.
I've been gone for a while now... so allow me to explain if you're interested! If not then I'll have a couple awesome posts up for you all here in just a bit. Just finishing up on a few things but today starts the new series of "Let's Talk..." so stay tuned!
So about a month ago (which it's been that long since I've posted anything with substantial information) I came home from the gym and spending time with a best friend of mine and took a pretty nasty fall. Basically I busted my lip open and sprained a toe which left me with 2 stitches and just overall in a slump for about a week while I delt with that. I'm ok now! I have a small scar that is slowly fading as time goes on but is still pretty prominent as of right now.
Only like a week later I got the flu and was knocked out for just under a week. That was the WORST! Like my whole shift at work got sick and were out for the weekend and I was stuck in bed pretty well just sleeping and laying around doing nothing because my body was so incapable of doing anything.
Just about a week after that I went on vacation for just over a week and had a GREAT time!!!!! My fiance and I got to get out and just be by ourselves and enjoy the time we had together. We did some attractions and stayed in a cabin and relaxed! I really felt like it was the restart that I needed.
So now I'm back and in full swing! I hope that you all missed me because we have LOTS of information to get out and in EXTREMELY excited about it all!!!!!
Thanks to those who stuck around! I'm glad to be back!
I just wanted to share my story with the world here because I found my "soul mate" in a friend who made me realize how silently loved I am.
I've been struggling for the past like 7-8 months now with severe depression and have been in a terrible state of mind. While talking to my very best friend (we've been great friends for a year or so now and I really like to forget how well she really knows me). While talking to her I looked at her and said:
"I've been having one giant mental breakdown for like six months now. I've been in a terrible state of mind. I've just been so depressed."
To which she looked up at me and just said, "I know."
She has known I've been struggling because I vent and ramble to her. She was just sitting on all the things I've been saying for the past six months (about the time I had been going through all this when we had this conversation) and has been just listening and helping me in any way that she can but I totally forgot how much I really was loved until that moment. She knows how much pain I've been in. She just can't change everything in one go around.. I just found our relationship beautiful after that.
Alright everyone so just to give you guys a literal taste of my kitchen witchery skills I have a recipe for you. It's what I call me "Happy Tea" and it's just the way I make my tea when I need a little pick me up on happiness.
***Quick Side Note***
I hope this is obvious but in case it isn't obvious:
Do not use any of the ingredients I list if you're allergic! Also any ingredients can be swapped out for ingredients you aren't allergic to or ingredients you like.
Also on a less serious note I like my drinks cold so I ice things a lot or put them in the fridge so to enjoy this hot just skip the cooling steps.
My "Happy Tea"
I start by using my Keurig to make some hot water and let my tea steep in that for about 5 minutes or so.
After its brewed I take about 2 tablespoons of honey and about 2 teaspoons of sugar and mix until dissolved.
Once that is combined I add about 3 teaspoons of french vanilla instant coffee for an extra caffeine kick. (If you like cold drinks and want to brew this for later after this step chill it in the fridge for a bit)
Then I go and add about a teaspoon of vanilla extract and about a half to a full cup of milk and mix.
After this I serve over a little ice and enjoy!
!Remember!
Always stir clockwise while thinking of happy things and putting a good intent into your tea mix.
Bonus points if you add a literal pinch of salt to it for protection against negativity as well!
This tea is my go to when I need a kick of happiness, energy, or whatever I'm needing. It's always worked. I even have some tea sitting in my fridge right now waiting on me to get home tomorrow morning and consume it!
hi, i'm just starting out and i saw your post about how you do your sigils and i thought it was really helpful but i had a question about the circle. is the circle the same for everyone or does it vary person to person?
It's all on personal preference. You can copy mine directly or any other one you see or you can make your own! The possibilities are endless and totally up to you!
Sooooo I'm gonna close off my free tarot readings for a while. In replacement I've been thinking of opening up some paid readings. I want to have a couple basic spreads in which to choose and just run things through my tumblr for a bit. Thoughts?
I know I've asked before but I'm in high consideration mode on this! I'd like to be able to help others with more elaborate readings than a 1 card reading.
Hello everyone! So I had a lot of questions about my other sigil posts and decided to post another method to making sigils. This is another one of my favorites to use! I just really like the way these turn out. I call this the constellation method!
Step 1: Get your Phrase
For this tutorial I'm using the phrase "Protect this place"
Step 2: Take Out Repeating Letters
So any repeating letters you have take them out! *Side note: this step doesn't matter too much because of the method which you will see in a minute but it helps confusion*
"Protect this place" becomes "protechisla"
Step 3: Making Dots
Remember this chart?
So grab this chart and just ignore your numbers. Take what is left of your phrase for us "protechisla" and make dots on all of the letters you see. It should come out looking something like this:
So now we've got our "stars" for our "constelation". Take out the chart and you should be left with an assortment of dots like this:
Step 4: Connecting the Dots
So we have this random assortment of dots and now you get to be creative and connect them however you see fit. Play around until you have something you like. This is what mine looked like after some playing around with different arrangements:
Step 5: Make it a "Constellation"
This is what mine looked like when I was finished.
This is a wonderful method for those who are still in the "broom closet" because they just look like super cute little doodles or constellations. It's a super easy method. Just remember DON'T OVERTHINK ANYTHING!!!!! Make this your own sigil. Follow the method but also do whatever feels right! And most important! Stay safe and have fun with it!!!!!
Sooooo I've been working on some really awesome posts and have also been working to get a Watpad book up and going and... now I'm just... going through some things.
I'll spare details because I don't know if I'm ready to talk about it yet but I've just been so depressed here as of late that I don't want to get out of bed more or less attempt to work on anything witchy. I know I probably need my craft now more than ever but I can't pull myself to do anything except just walk through the motions.
I promise that I'm ok but I will not be on here as much but I promise when I come back I'll be coming back full force with lots of posts and informative stuffs!!!!!!
Ok so let me just start by saying this is some VERY beginner stuff that a close witchy friend gave me and I figured I would put it here to share with the world!
Begin with a simple phrase
I’m going to use the phrase “I am safe and protected” because it is a little more complex
Take out all the vowels
In the instance of this phrase we are then left with “m sf nd prtctd”
Take out duplicate letters
That will leave us with “m sf nd prtc”
Match the alphabet to letters…
There is no other way to describe this than with a picture…
Match the letters to numbers
So “msfndprtc” = 416547923
Match the numbers together with lines on your circle
So another picture is… my only form of help!
Your sigil is finished!!!
So this is what mine looked like when I was totally done adding my flourish to it!
So this is… how it’s done? I know I probably did a TERRIBLE job at explaining this but I am willing to help anyone who has any questions!!!
It's just the way I do my chart and sigils. Some people will choose to keep their vowels in the sigil process and some people will take them out of their table. Sometimes I include vowels in the sigil phrase if I think it's too short or just want to. You can do it however you would like. So if it makes more sense to take the vowels out of your table then do that!
