“Oh…it’s missing again.” Law said as he felt around his pocket for his wallet, “Nami-ya must have it.”
Both Shachi and Penguin looked at each other and then at their Captain. “Again? You mean that’s not the first time she’s done this?” Penguin asked.
“No, and it’s not likely to be the last.” Their Captain said as he glanced over to see Nami chatting amicably with Usopp and Chopper across the beach holding his wallet in her hand, “Room.”
The wallet appeared back in his hand, and he watched as Nami yelped in surprise and turned towards Law with a glare and pout on her face. Law only smirked back at her, and she turned back around and huffed in annoyance before handing the wrapped caramels in her hand to Chopper.
“How many times has she done this?” Shachi asked as Law opened up his wallet to look through it.
“A few.” Law answered before closing up his wallet and putting it back in his pocket, “But she didn’t take as many bills this time.”
Penguin started at Shachi. Shachi stared at Penguin. Both looked at Law.
“What is it?” Law asked.
“N-Nothing!” both answered before going towards the rest of their crew who had all watched the whole event unfold.
“I think being with the Strawhats made him stupid.” Uni quipped, “Usually he’d cut off a hand by now.”
“Maybe he’s just keeping his best behavior for the sake of the alliance.” Cilone noted.
“Perhaps you’re right Cilone , but you have to admit, seeing the Captain crushing over someone like a little school-boy is adorable.” Ikkaku giggled.
“Crush?!!” Then they all looked towards Law who was still looking at the navigator of the Strawhats as if she was the only person on the beach.
Hakugan crossed his arms, “Wow, I guess the Captain truly is a man after all.”
Two identical infants lay in the cradle. “One you bore, the other is a Changeling. Choose wisely,” the Fae’s voice echoed from the shadows. “I’m taking both my children,” the mother said defiantly.
Once upon a time there was a peasant woman who was unhappy because she had no children. She was happy in all other things – her husband was kind and loving, and they owned their farm and had food and money enough. But she longed for children.
She went to church and prayed for a child every Sunday, but no child came. She went to every midwife and wise woman for miles around, and followed all their advice, but no child came.
So at last, though she knew of the dangers, she drew her brown woolen shawl over her head and on Midsummer’s Eve she went out to the forest, to a certain clearing, and dropped a copper penny and a lock of her hair into the old well there, and she wished for a child.
“You know,” a voice said behind her, a low and cunning voice, a voice that had a coax and a wheedle and a sly laugh all mixed up in it together, “that there will be a price to pay later.”
She did not turn to look at the creature. She knew better. “I know it,” she said, still staring into the well. “And I also know that I may set conditions.”
“That is true,” the creature said, after a moment, and there was less laugh in its voice now. It wasn’t pleased that she knew that. “What condition do you set? A boy child? A lucky one?”
“That the child will come to no harm,” she said, lifting her head to stare into the woods. “Whether I succeed in paying your price, or passing your test, or not, the child will not suffer. It will not die, or be hurt, or cursed with ill luck or any other thing. No harm of any kind.”
“Ahhhhh.” The sound was long and low, between a sigh and a hum. “Yes. That is a fair condition. Whatever price there is, whatever test there is, it will be for you and you alone.” A long, slender hand extended into her sight, almost human save for the skin, as pale a green as a new leaf. The hand held a pear, ripe and sweet, though the pears were nowhere ripe yet. “Eat this,” the voice said, and she trembled with the effort of keeping her eyes straight ahead. “All of it, on your way home. Before you enter your own gate, plant the core of it beside the gate, where the ground is soft and rich. You will have what you ask for.”

honestly this is a difficult question because there are SO MANY ss fanfics that i love, but i’ll make a list of my top 5 ss fanfics/oneshots
1. home is there the heart is - Deeppoeticgirl
this is a super cute ss travel fic with some light angst, but is by far one of my favorite fics that i have ever read and have read it multiple times!!! absolutely love how the author incorporated the development of sasuke and sakura’s relationship. very beautifully written and well done. 1000/10.
2. love story - AppleR3
this is a non massacre au where sasuke and sakura start out as friends and fall in love. this is a one shot, but i absolutely love this. ending is adorable and you get all the ss feels you need. highly recommend!
3. empire - pastel daisies
this story gets dark, but one of my favs. not super disturbing or too much either, there’s a good balance of it. this fic does get sad, but the ending and development of ss relationship is amazing. will make you cry both tears of joy and sadness!!
4. adrenalize me - helena-3190
this is an ANBU ss three shot and it’s basically pure smut but one of my favs to read. short and sweet. recommend if you’re in a mood for some porn with feelings ;)
5. ripples - yellow mask
this is a ss fic featuring a hebi!sasuke. i absolutely adore this fanfic. basically sakura gets captured in sound as a slave and ends up with sasuke, and over time he falls in love with her. i think i have read this fic about a hundred times and am currently rereading it! it came out in 2008, but is still very much enjoyable to read!
also love masked desire (also pure smut), heartbeat (SO SAD AND ANGSTY BUT SO GOOD WORTH THE READ), forbidden (royal au with tons of smut ONE OF MY FAVS EVER) and all i want for christmas by @theredconversegirl and this one is an enemies to lovers fic!
In non-massacre AU, Sasuke and Sakura would get caught making out ALL the time.
Like no one in their house knocks before entering a room so they’ll be in his room, door closed (which is one of Mikoto and Fugaku’s no no’s) and people just barge in.
