walking through the town square to get some air was nothing new for elena, she liked to clear her head and to get a breath of fresh air. seeing someone she knew in beacon falls was nothing new, nearly everyone in town knew each other especially when they grew up in the town. moving over to the bench she saw the other woman on she took a seat beside her and smiled softly. ❝ it's a nice night, right? the air is so light.❞

"Hey Elena." Harley greeted her with a smile. She was right, it was a nice night. Though the uncertainty and eerie nature it was laced with did not go unnoticed by Harley. "I know right." She took a moment to look up at the sky, her smile widened slightly when her eyes were met with the calming and comforting light of the stars up above. "How've you been doing?" She asked once her eyes landed back on Elena. "Have you had a chance to meet any of the newbies we've been getting? There's actually been a lot of them lately."

MY LITTLE SHERLOCK ❞ illyria teased the mundane girl as she motioned having the famous sherlock mustache . wondering what could she have possibly come up with. If she didn't mention anything supernatural ... well , that's going to have to change, right ? after all, she wondered how would she react if she just KNEW

Illyria's playfulness earned her a smirk from Harley. "Well-" She let out a sigh before glancing down at what she had written and then back up at the other woman. "Have you ever considered that the woods aren't the crime scene? Maybe jus a dumping site? I mean, if there is something or someone out there killing people, maybe everything isn't taking place in the woods." She said with a shrug. "I've also looked at photos of past animal attacks and the ones happening now are different. Like, significantly different. The lacerations and bite radius are much bigger and deeper all of a sudden. That doesn't just happen overnight...I don't know. It just seems like we aren't getting the full story here."

With the tiniest of smirks playing at the corners of her lips, Harley playfully rolled her eyes. She then let out an exhale and opened up her notes. "Well-" She started. "It's mostly just theories of what the police could be missing. Things they haven't considered or taken into account...Assumptions being made...Things like that."

STEFAN WONDERED WHAT OTHER THEORIES WERE FLOATING AROUND. were they wild? were they true? like his own theory... the real theory underneath his flesh, itching to be revealed. ❛❛i'm just saying. illegal dumping has humans acting like fools. imagine what it could do to animals.❜❜ stefan points out, arms and shoulders moving to shrug. ❛❛of course i am. but i also hope no one's stupid enough to go into the woods anytime soon. there are people hunting anything from wild baboons to wolves just in case. the last thing we really need is someone getting caught in a bear trap.❜❜

Harley's eyes narrowed. "Mhmm." Taking the pencil from behind her ear she twirled it between her fingers before flipping open her notebook and scanning the pages. She wondered if Stefan himself believed in what he was saying. Or perhaps it was just a story he was going with to stop himself from thinking the worst. "How do we know for sure these things are happening in the woods though? All we do know is that that's where the bodies are ending up."

IT'S INTERESTING TO HEAR THE THEORIES. some made stefan chuckle that deep hearty chuckle that start out in the pit of his stomach while others made him question some residents sanity. he cannot help but stop and peer over at her, ❛❛have you considered there could be something in the water? i've heard of this city in ohio where people have all-time high thyroid issues. more than most cities or towns in the united states alone.❜❜ stefan noted, eyes more or less gauging their reaction. there's a small part of him that's fucking with the other -- he knows full well what's happening. it's not like he could tell a random resident though, much less tell anyone that he's been losing track of himself again. WHAT IF? he thought for the fifth time that day. WHAT IF?

Harley stared back at Stefan, unimpressed. The woman knew that not everyone would take her seriously and she was more than used to people making light of or poking holes in her theories. "Right. That's definitely the reason people are ending up mauled in the woods in the middle of the night. Have you run that theory by the police yet?" She asked sarcastically while raising an eyebrow. "Seriously though Stefan, you're not even the least bit concerned about all this?"

I don't care and leaving up to the AUTHORITIES . something you should do, little becca. ❞ Illyria smiled as she flipped through the book she was reading . Listening to the clueless girl before her had always been entertaining . ❝ you aren't a detective nor a police to start investigating on your own ... that could be YOU NEXT if you find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time . ❞

There had always been something about this woman Harley couldn't put her finger on. Something...off putting. But something that intrigued her at the same time. Most would be surprised Harley would let Illyria even get away with calling her little Becca. "You of all people should know that I'm allergic to doing what I'm told." No matter what anyone said it was impossible to throw Harley off of a trail or theory once she'd found it. "Trust me when I tell you I'm doing a much better job than the police. I'm always careful. That won't happen."

" what do i think? " stiles repeats, looking around briefly as though she might be talking to someone else, pulling a hand through his hair. " uh, well. y'know. that's... we're still looking into it, so. not sure i'm, like, at liberty to say. " a line straight from the terrible cop show playbook — albeit with lamer delivery.

but it's not like he's operating at one hundred percent. hard to play it smart when you haven't slept in two days.

" look. harley. we'll handle it — alright? i swear. my dad's all over it, and i know it's freaky, but these things happen. people get ... " he waves a hand around, searching for the right verbiage only to blurt out. " mauled. "

Stiles' response earned him a raised brow from Harley. She gave him an expression as if to say, really? "C'mon Stiles, this is me you're talking to." Harley wasn't surprised that Stiles wasn't budging but his reluctance didn't make her any less discouraged. In fact, it did exactly the opposite. "Right. Because people here get mauled all the time. Just a typical Sunday night in Beacon Falls." She let out a sigh. "I just thought maybe you'd be interested in some of my theories. I have a lot actually." With her left hand she took the pencil from her ear and began to twirl it between her fingers. "But since you guys are handling it I guess they'd be no help."

"All I'm saying is there's something going on that we don't know about. There has to be." The scribbling of notes in her book was followed by a shake of her head. She was in the middle of adding more theories to her conspiracy journal. Anyone who knew her wouldn't be surprised. Harley had lived in Beacon Falls her whole life and this sudden surge and animal attacks and dead bodies had caused a strange knot to form in her stomach. And when Rebecca Harlowe felt knots begin to arise, she wouldn't rest until they had come undone. After closing her book shut she shoved it into her bag and tucked her pencil behind her ear absentmindedly. "I mean, what do you think about all this?"

So Harley had very little screen time in season 1 and 2 of Teen Wolf (I changed her fc). She was actually supposed to be more of a main character but the writers ended up dropping her. I was super interested in her when Teen Wolf first dropped and decided I was really interested in bringing her to life so here she is!

Personality: Harley is smart, witty, self assured, and loyal. She has a knack for solving things and if it seems there's some kind of abnormality in Beacon Falls, she'll be the one to chase after it. Especially if it seems no one is paying it much attention or dismissing. At the moment she is unaware of the supernatural and has no idea that world exists.
