A Cup Of Coffee

There is always a story behind a cup of coffee ☕️

But it was still a good café.

You know why ?

Because my brother made this coffee for me.

There was coffee and ice cream coffee in it. Maybe too much water in the bowl, that’s why it wasn’t really good.

It’s been a while I didn’t come to my parent’s restaurant. Since they got this coffee machine, I love making an affogato.

Just a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a cup of coffee, and it makes my day way better !

Most of the time, I just get extra and put it into a bigger glass, I add some caramel syrup, whipped cream and a little bit of cacao powder. That’s the touch of creativity I love.

I don’t know if I ever tell it but the coffee my mom uses to serve customers is excellent. I love it so much !! I tried to make lattes and it’s always so good !! Unfortunately, we don’t serve milk and nobody but me drink it, so to avoid waste, I just try something else.. like affogato !!!

I went to a tearoom called Alain Batt, which is also the name of a great chocolaterie, here in Nancy.

I ordered a sort of a very airy cheesecake. Not too sweet, very light, just perfect for a tea room.

It goes very well with a small coffee, accompanied by a bergamot, Nancy's precious sweet.

The balance between the three of them made the teatime just perfect.

A chocolate milk, an iced macchiato and a donut. What more could you want ?

I was with one of my dearest friends, that friend with whom I talk a lot around a good latte.

I brought her some gifts from my trip and some stickers of Taylor Swift because she is a great fan of her.

For once, I ordered a donut and an iced latte, and my friend took a muffin and a latte too. It was so nice to see her and to talk about our lives.

Back at this coffee shop in Nancy, where I'm sharing a nice moment with a friend from uni.

I'd promised to bring him some souvenirs from my trip to Asia. He didn't think I'd really get him anything, so he was happy.

It was nice to see him and spend some time with him.

He had a cookie and a coffee with milk (obviously with lots of milk) and I had an iced latte, as usual.

I forgot to take a picture of the coffee I bought in Vietnam but you can still get a glimpse of what it looks like.

Some instruction for the use of the Vietnamese filter :

First, boil water.

Then, put some ice and condensed milk in your glass.

Next, put the filter above the glass, add a portion of ground coffee, and pour the water in it.

Finally, enjoyyyyyy !

That’s how we made it but you can do whatever you want.

Back in Paris, we made a little date.

We picked up two lattes at The Coffee.

We wanted to try it for a long time, and I think it was our first time there.

It was quite expensive but pretty good !

We had an iced vanila latte and a salted caramel latte.

I've been to this café twice and was a bit disappointed, perhaps the coffee was too strong for me. I remember almost regretting it because I had already bought some ground coffee as a souvenir for my family. ☕️
