the mexican football team has a 17 yrs old player and one of the funniest outcomes of this is that he cannot appear in any ad for gambling or drinking so he only appears in candy and milk advertisements. his first world cup and he's not even legally allowed to drive. his nickname is "morita" (little berry). he's three apples tall.
they couldn't put him in the beer campaign so he was represented by a bunch of berries
Argentinian racists are coping so hard right now 🤣🤣🤣 they try to delude themeselves into thinking that their team played a fair game when they were pushing and being brute towards the Spanish team all the fucking time. Not to mention the two goals that were discounted for lno reason. The match was clearly manipulated so Argentina could win but at the end It backfired lmao.
I've never seen the planet come together so much to root AGAINST a sports team lmao. Like I don't think anyone wanted Spain to win, as much as Argentina had to lose. Especially playing like that, every game? Please. Everybody was sick of the shenanigans.
Had my husband explain to me that "no, they can't just play dirty back, because it'll get them in trouble." I was like okay well, I just think that they should train for this sort of conduct. Like, if you know the team you up against literally flips people over like burgers, it's time to practice how to counter that shit. (That flip was CRAZY.)
And so many people here, myself included, had never been involved with international soccer (yeah yeah I know, the US and its weird ass names for shit) this up close before. Next time this happens imma be seated! I had folks that didn't know what was going on, but we all DID see that damn racist video and all the poor sportsmanship from team and fans throughout, and that was enough. Had me devoted to a game on principle. What an introduction to the World Cup lmao.
And it lost Drake betting money, Trump and Netanyahu lost. That's three major losers on TOP of everything else. What a day.
Eepying together <3

i have a personality flaw that always positions me on the side of characters who are hiding everything and refuse to accept help. like do NOT confide in people. confiding in people is the enemy. REAL winners lie and lie and continue lying until they ruin every single thing theyve got going for them & didnt fix a single goddamn thing. keep digging grandpa youre almost there
“word hashtag my word #myword” has done irreversible damage to my vocabulary
it is so annoying being so self aware about all my issues like okay what now girl
thinking about the time a former housemate said to me "hey I put these box fans in the living room because it's hot" while gesturing to the fans that I was actively sitting in front of because it was hot. and I said "okay thanks." and she kept standing there like she was waiting for something else so I said "am I blocking the airflow? do you need me to move?" and she said no I'm just letting you know they're here, in the living room, for circulation. and I said well yes, I did put that together. I am enjoying them. thank you. and she looked confused. so I asked "am I meant to do something with this information or are you just informing me?" and she said no I'm letting you know they're here because It's Hot In Here. she seemed a bit aggravated, and her emphasis seemed deliberate.
it took me asking three more times before she finally told me she wanted me to leave the fans where they are instead of moving them to my room or something. and I said oh! I had no intention of doing so but thank you for letting me know what the expectation is.
about a month later she brought up that conversation as the moment it actually clicked for her that I Am Autistic And Will Not Magically Intuit The Unspoken Request You Didn't Ask Me.
I have observed enough allistic communication to know that generally, if somebody points something out to you that you can already see or are already clearly interacting with, they are making an indirect request. but as I don't know what the request is, the only way forward is for me to guess (and likely get it wrong), or prompt the allistic to tell me clearly what they need.
however, allistics don't realize they do this, so asking them to say the unspoken surprises and confuses them. this is not their fault. allistics can be quite emotionally fragile and perceive directness as confrontation, so they habitually rely on indirect speech and coded language to preserve others' feelings. this is why they may find it difficult to be direct, even when asked. I have found that with enough gentle encouragement and reassurance that they are actually helping you, you too can achieve successful communication with your allistic friend or loved one. :)
awww they make me sick.
a lot of you see trans women as trans people who happen to be women, instead of women who happen to be trans

Okay, I gotta say this nuance aloud, though maybe everyone already understood it.
When people discuss the importance of using things, such as special plates, candles, special clothes- they will say that it's best to use them all the time, and that this makes each day special or something like that.
Which is only part of the picture if you ask me.
It's good not to hoard things forever, but if you use everything all the time, it also leaves certain special times as kind of indistinct from anything else. Like having a Christmas tree up all year kind of takes something away from it.
So here's my rephrasing: special things should have a concrete time of use, not an abstract one.
If you have an outfit you love but have it dedicated to only wear once a year on a specific day? Totally fine! You are using it, and it is contributing something to your life.
If you have plates that you'll only use 'for a special occasion' but haven't touched them in years? Evidently you don't know how to recognize a special occasion and should try and think of more specific qualifiers.
Some nice things make every day special, and others make certain times unique. It doesn't have to be one or the other, there's also joy in restraint. You just have to make sure perfectionism isn't slipping into how you use the ones that are only for some of the time.
