Our world is fucked.

Selfies get 50+ likes minimum. A good cause that needs to go viral gets zero likes and zero shares. This cause could save someone’s life. We are so caught up in this fucked up cycle. We are brainwashed to buy things we don’t need. We are brainwashed to be selfish. The products we “need” don’t even last a year and we buy the newly launched item a few months later to keep up with the trends.

Humanitarian work and charity aren’t favored because it’s not the “hip” thing to do unless it’s viral.

We had the ALS challenge but what about a fun challenge to help combat world hunger or poverty. What about the war in the Middle East? We are SO preoccupied with the newest iPhone and Note 4 that we forget what compassion is and why it's so important.

Do we care about saving lives? I guess we only care about our own lives. The only way to survive this world is to be selfish, not give a fuck, and let the weak, sick and poor die, and focus on getting new clothes and gadgets. Fuck finding cures or combatting real life issues that affect billions of people.

Our world is fucked. We’re doomed. We’re stuck in a vicious cycle that does not favor helping those in need.

I have had Cystic Fibrosis my whole...

'Support one, cure 100,000'. There isn't 100,000 people with CF in the world.

I am quoting the person who created the campaign. I am helping a friend in need, a human of the earth.

I know nothing about the statistics about CF. BUT according to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 30,000 people have CF in the US, and 70,000 worldwide. Thats 70,000 people who have actually been diagnosed with CF. 70,000 people who are reported. What about all the other undocumented people or people who don’t have the resources to be diagnosed.

So in reality, there could very well possibly be 100,000+ people with CF. But why does that even matter? Does it mean that we shouldn’t support our fellow brothers and sisters who suffer from CF because “not many people are affected by it”? Show some compassion. If you don’t want to support the cause and save a life, that’s absolutely fine. You are free to choose. If you want to support a good cause, then please do so by sharing to raise awareness. I’m not begging you for your money - but spreading awareness has an immense impact. So what if you don’t know her? What if it was someone you knew? You would want to help them.

The point is, it doesn’t matter who is affected, how the person is affected, or how many people are affected. We MUST help people in need. The world is so preoccupied with material and irrelevant crap. We need to change that so that we can make a better world. It’s a collaborative task. We all can’t continue with this mentality.

Here’s Erida’s story:

I have had Cystic Fibrosis my whole life. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. CF is caused by a defective gene and its protein product causes the body to produce unusual amounts of sticky mucus that clogs the lungs to lead to infections. I was the first Cystic Fibrosis patient that was treated by Regenocyte in 2009 with stem cells. Since then I have been at a stable 40% FEV1. My second treatment was in 2011. "Regenocyte" is the medical term for Adult Stem Cells (ASC), derived from the Latin term "regeneratus" (created again). Adult Stem Cells are unspecialized cells derived from the patient’s own peripheral blood done from a standard blood draw or bone marrow-as opposed to that of embryos. These cells are capable to self-multiply into additional cells or become any new cell or tissue. Regenocyte Therapeutic can regenerate damaged or failing cells and tissue to create new hope for patients..and the world. In 2012, because of a bilateral pneumonia incident that had been going on for weeks, I ended up with collapsed lungs and in an induced coma. Due to the infection, my FEV1 collapsed along with my lungs and since then I have been resting at a 26% FEV1 median. I will be doing another stem cell treatment in March. It saved my life before and it will again. I plan to raise awareness with this treatment for Cystic Fibrosis patients all over. We have hope for our future. To keep on breathing is what we will do.
