Remus and Lily were absolutely inseparable. Just like sirius and james, they spent more than half their time together. He tried to sit with her in every class. They bounced idea after idea off each other, Quick-witted—to a fault.

She normally was the one yapping away while he looked at her eyes. It always made Lily laugh that remus could keep direct eye-contact when she spoke, but could never look at her when he did.

Lily loved watching him when he was the one talking though. Intently listening, always knowing when she should just give suggestions/ comments, or when he just needed her to listen.

They could be more physical with each other, Lily would have her head in Remus’ lap, looking up at him. He would run hands through her hair and when she wore braids he’d twirl them around his finger. Anytime they’d sit on a couch, they’d sit with her legs draped across his or her whole body lying on his legs. She’d sit on the arms of sofas he was on, if someone was already sitting next to him. Remus would stand behind Lily’s chairs, hands on her shoulders.

They’d hang out over summer breaks and get ice cream from the shop by lily’s house. Lily’s parents loved remus; Remus’ parents loved lily.

Remus realized he was in love with Lily when she fell asleep, head on Remus’ lap, his hand running through her hair, while eating an apple. He grabbed it and reached to place it back in the bag she’d carried here. He just stared at her smiling and when Remus ran his fingers through the hair behind Lily’s ears: He realized he didn’t just love her, He ~loved~ her. He was ~in love~ with her.

Lily realized she was in love with Remus when he was laughing with James, Sirius, and Peter; One of those full belly laughs. Remus was leaned up against a desk and he had to uncross his arms to breathe. He looked at Lily and her stomach fluttered. Lily shook her head smiling at him, watching his eyes crinkle more when she did.

They started dating after Remus told the other marauders the way he felt about Lily and they created a plan for him to woo her on a special date. He didn’t listen to their plans. He just told her one day, a normal regular day, as he was running his fingertips over her arm as she laid on his lap, “i’m in love with you.”. Remus let Lily turn, so her back was flat when she looked at him. He watched her eyes look back and forth between his. Then she whispered “i’m in love with you too.”.

Lily was bullied and kinda lonely. Lily was annoyed with James for years because he was loud, popular, and loved by everyone. She didn’t think she was “unworthy” of his affection and “love”, she just didn’t want it. She only put up with him for Remus. When she became head girl and he became head boy she Had to spend time Alone with him. She saw the softer parts of him. The kind that pulled giggles out of her from soft spoken jokes. She never wanted his love until she fell in love with him. He fell fast and hard.. she fell softly and unknowingly. But she loved him.
