2 day project - animate the logo of AMD (animation and motion design) for LSAD
Storyboardin'. Top is first finished rough draft, underneath is the initial whole script storyboarded very roughly
A wee gif I created for a college project called Manifesto. It prompted us to create a 4 second animation that portrayed some kind of societal issue that interests us. I focused on the voyeuristic and exhibitionist nature of social media, the virtual consumer and performer. It slowly evolved towards the idea of webcam girls after a short film I came across on Vimeo called Melon Rainbow, https://vimeo.com/133490035 which portrayed the loneliness of a girl who livestreamed pornographic videos of herself. She worked in a home for the blind which reinforced the idea that she is never seen. The webcam was her way of been seen and getting some form of attention.
I tried to get that idea across in this gif. The main image is a girl taking a nude selfie, but on top of her body are windows into her life, the ‘behind-the-scenes’ of these seemingly glamorous photos.
