Just a reminder to please read my DNI before following. It's there for my own personal comfort so I feel safe online. Having a bit of a character design related crisis right now, see image below

So I'm trying to get my sona's redesign ready for artfight ASAP so I can work on attacks and other designs I have yet to upload, but I cannot for the life of me figure out his lower legs. Transformer legs are hard enough to design as it is, but everything I come up with just doesn't look right compared to the rest of his bot mode. Nothing does: the knees, the feet, the general shape. I've asked for advice previously, but even when I try applying the advice I receive, it still doesn't end up looking like it belongs to the same bot. Do any of you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. And while we're here, please link your favourite original TF designs in the comments and what you like about them! I've seen some incredible work myself and I'm currently scouring for inspiration as that has been most valuable for my design process so far. My biggest inspiration so far has been a Skyfire design by the artist Missocpus on Twitter, they made him look so strong and confident and I wanted my sona to make me feel the same way! I also kindly ask that responses to Killjoy's appearance remain appropriate as he is still a representation of me, although deviating greatly in terms of personality and lore. Feel free to ask questions about him though! I love him so much :D NOTE: The VTOL stealth transport concept that is Killjoy's alt mode is by an extremely talented designer named Rodrigo Avella, please do go check out his art!! You can find him on ArtStation I believe and iirc he has his own website too.

UPDATE: I've been glued to procreate all day, oh dear Primus save me from my suffering- This is all I managed to complete, it's not a lot of progress, but it's something at least... I don't think I've ever had this much of a struggle in my life lol. Literally nothing looks right, any tips?

FINALLY getting around to designing the og boss of the cons. By far my favourite design out of the ones I've done :D

My main inspiration for him came from Greek Spartans and idw megs. I'm still debating on if I want his melee weapon to be a sword or an axe though.

He is characterized a little differently in my au. He's very gentle outside of the pits. He has a lot of complicated feelings on the Cybertronian council (which is actually called the Inquisition of Cybertron. More on that in a future post.)

Here's a little closeup of his face too cus I love him so much. He is my scrimbly scrumbo and he is very important to meeeee

His voice claim is Earthspark Megatron :D

SOME STORY TIME ABOUT OPTIMUS PRIME'S GLASSES

Ok, so here's the thing: glasses.

During the development of the project, @tendebill and I were talking and we were faced with a question about glasses: how do they stay on Prime's nose?

Here's a simplified transcription of our conversation:

ten: Well, it's logical that they're magnetic, right? camelia: ... yeah...? ten: Sure. camelia: Oooooooh, riiight. Sure, that was the plan from the beginning. Of course. ten: It's obvious. camelia: I can already imagine him putting them to his nose and them catching with that metallic "clang." But you know... when xyz* realizes in the story that they're catching on magnets - oh, this character will have a lot of fun because of it. ten: Well, imagine xyz approaching Prime unexpectedly, grabbing the glasses, and letting go - bang! camelia: It's like she snapped a rubber band at him!! ten: EXACTLY!

It's a good thing to have inspiring people around you - full credit for the logic behind the glasses Prime wears goes to @tendebill!!! Thank you!!!

xyz* is a character who will appear later in the story, but I don't want to reveal character yet!!!

Okay, I'm a bit unsure what category to put this? Lore? Trivia?

Maybe you can judge for yourselves.

When I started thinking about Orion Pax/Optimus Prime's appearance, it occurred to me that it would be interesting to give him glasses (there's a plot justification for it, I swear!!!), although I had moments of skepticism – now I can't imagine him without them :D <3

Tumblr added a bunch of tracking shit to share urls, so now ill teach you how to get rid of them

if you copy a url by sharing on the website, the link will look like this

getting rid of tracking in these is easy, just delete everything after the question mark and you are golden

in the case for the app, its slightly more complicated

first you have to delete at. that appears before tumblr(.)com the other tracking shit on this one has a lot more info, so please, clean app urls. after the first set of numbers, there's a / you have to delete everything after it

a clean Tumblr url should look like this
