Oh my god, right? Seeing my friend try her hardest to not fight Asgore was amazing in it’s self, but when the game crashed after Flowey killed him, she straight up jaw-dropped and stood up and went into the other room, it was so cute. I had to coax her after a break to try starting it up again, haha

We’re looking for a designer!

We’re looking for an additional team member for Oceanheart! :)

What is Oceanheart?

Oceanheart is a boat-based exploration game that combines elements from Wind Waker, Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. We’re aiming for a chill and playful experience.

What is the current status of the project?

We have a pretty great feeling prototype already working with numerous gameplay features. We’ve livestreamed and tweeted a lot about the game which has helped us receive a lot of positive attention, including coverage from Kill Screen and other sites.

Who are we looking for?

While we have the implementation and art style processes down, we’d like to find a developer/game designer with Unity experience who could help us focus the design of the game. We’d like to find someone who has completed and released their own games/prototypes. (we’ll want to play them to see if your design sensibilities are in sync with what we envision for Oceanheart) Unity experience is important because we would be expecting this designer to work on level design and tuning the game’s feel inside Unity.

Ideally this person would be self-motivated, self-directing and comfortable with working with the team on a trial basis to start.

Currently the game is not funded. Alec and Karen have been both working for free on the project for about 5 months. We are looking into publishing options that would include funding. We’ll be wanting to work with our new designer buddy on making the pitch to achieve funding. We’ll treat creating a demo and design pitch like a trial run for working with this new collaborator.
