I want more chronic pain whump. Give me a cocky, independent character who suddenly canāt walk because a sudden rain storm aggravated their old leg wounds and now they have to lean on a friend to get home. Give me a usually stoic character shaking with pain during a flare up. Give me a character whoās finally healed having their first bad pain day and abruptly feeling like theyāre back at square one.
i got to chew someone THE FUCK out today who really deserved it and it was SO satisfying im still riding on the high
another ffxiv throwback because i was looking through old files and laughed at my own art like a loser
I can hear this picture.
it is so funny to me that this is the only remaining voiced cutscene from the middle of praetorium. the whole thing used to be voiced, but for some reason, when it was tweaked to be a 4-man instead of 8-man, they removed all the voiced dialogue
EXCEPT this cutscene
so we get to hear for eternity cid sincerely and bluntly saying, without any jokey camaraderie, that you're too useful to die so you better not fucking think about it soldier
i dont know why people are like āwe need to bully people so they are more normalā when if the internet has been anything its been a series of longitudinal studies showing that prolonged large scale bullying tends to lead people to becoming increasingly weird, paranoid, sometimes off-putting, traumatized, emotionally troubled, ethically disregulated, etc. even unethical modalities like behaviorism donāt focus exclusively or primarily on punishment. like people should literally just be honest and say they want more bullying because they like to do it and have fun hurting other people
i post for the fuck-ups, freaks, goths, emos, scenes n autistic weirdos
stop spreading despair and nihilism
stop buying into the idea that nonviolent activism is useless, rather than (by far) the most effective form of protest
stop falsely claiming that BLM accomplished nothing and that most citizens ādonāt careā when people are murdered by the state
start understanding that most of your neighbors care about your rights, and their own
start noticing that most people are moved by injustice, including against people who look nothing like them
The pushback against ICE exposed a series of mistaken assumptions.

Another wonderfull secret
Starting a grocery store and the hiring process involves giving the prospective employees a drug test. We don't take negative results. If you can work fucked up that shows character. Someone's stoned as fuck putting the beans to the shelf in elaborate artisanal arrangements in extreme slow motion. There's a carpool picking everyone up for their shifts so they won't drive here. Not sure what one of them is smoking but she scares me and is willing to do 48 hour shifts so I'm not asking.
Stranger Things season 1: beneath the superficial image of āpeace and prosperityā in 1980s small-town America, there was the painful legacy of countless atrocities committed by the American government in the name of āfreedom.ā
Stranger Things season 4: evil Russians (not Soviets) have sent our All-American Hero to the gulags which apparently still exist in the 1980s and itās up to us to save him šŗšøš¦ š«”
Thereās probably a term that already exists for this but if there isnāt Iām gonna call it āRamboficationā in honor of its probably most well known instance: Rambo First Blood was about a soldier, John Rambo (thatās his actual name Iām not doing a bit), returning home from the Vietnam war, so traumatized by war that he brought the war home with him to a small town, unable to adapt to life without strict military discipline and hierarchy. Subsequent Rambo movies were about how John Rambo was the only supersoldier tough enough and patriotic enough to kill faceless hordes of dastardly foreign commies.
Ergo, āRamboficationā is the process of a series starting with a relatively nuanced or subversive narrative before its sequels become a shallow embrace of the very narrative it originally subverted. It happens surprisingly often!
