Something that people in my life always get confused by Autism and sensory sensitivities. 

I don’t always realize why I’m distressed. I start off feeling impatient, and easily annoyed by every tiny little thing. then it starts to feel like I can’t breathe and I just need to get out of wherever I am. And then the dryer in the other room stops, and suddenly a bit of relief washes over me because it was actually the vibrating/rattling noise that was making me distressed.

I really wish there was a market for Autism Hoodies

Not those tacky "Autism Acceptance" ones, or the ones with the Facebook Mom sayings on them. Just, good old fashioned hoodies designed with Autistic Folk in mind.

Hoodies that are big and baggy and loose, but have really tight cuffs on the hands. Hoodies that are made of super soft material with no tangible seams or zippers that make me want to die. Hoodies with no tags and drawstrings that are safe to chew on.

God, I would buy so many in a heartbeat. I could really use one today

when i say "i need to go the bathroom" and then am gone for 30 minutes i really mean "i am autistic and have to lock myself away somewhere i know i'll be undisturbed and look at my phone with headphones or else i will probably eventually start crying because im extremely overwhelmed and at my limit but trying hard to make no one notice"
