I found out (through this video) that the reason why black people eating fried chicken became a negative stereotype for them is because thanks to fried chicken white people couldn't poison black people.

Black people had to turn to heavily fried chicken in order to avoid being deliberately poisoned by under-prepared food, food that has been stored in unsanitary bags, or purposely unsanitary practices (like spitting in the food) by white racists who owned the majority of restaurants. (There's more to it but I don't want to take away views from the video. It's only eight minutes long. Less if you speed your videos up like I do.)

These restaurants who previously took advantage of black people who struggled to get through life thanks to practices white people put in lost out in millions thanks to fried chicken. (I dunno if this is accounting for inflation or not.) So they started making fun of black people for eating fried chicken.

They have a lot of videos about black culture and a lot of them is about how they were able to beat white people using food. Most of which I can't watch without heavily craving that food. They're short and informative, and probably something you haven't learned in school for one reason or another.

Me: "Damn people are REALLY BAD at knowing when to tag their eyestrain art/images...either that or they just don't care about photosenitive epileptic people like me. I feel really sad now." Person: "But Allison, what if they just don't know or understand what qualifies as eyestrain and what doesn't?" Me: "You know what? That could be a factor...While it is always better to be safe rather than sorry (so YES people should always tag eyestrain even if they're unsure if it "counts" or not) maybe you've got a point?"

Anyways! HERE'S YOUR HANDY GUIDE TO WHAT CAN COUNT AS EYESTRAIN! I'm pulling this straight from the Artfight rules page about what needs to be labeled and filtered as eyestrain because it's VERY helpful and VERY accurate! I also know not everybody has an AF account and might not always have access to this handy guide, and this is an important resource; That's why I'm sharing it here! (under the cut)
