The smallest things

Sometimes the smallest things mean so much. Today I put on a dress that I hadn't worn for a while and it was quite a bit less tight..... I have lost weight.. Yay me. I sent my bf a snapchat asking if he remembered the dress (he once picked me up from the airport when I was wearing said dress and liked it a lot)!! He didn't respond to the snapchat. I have this love hate relationship with snap, he has a lot of female friends that 1. Take their clothes off for money or 2) take their clothes off for free... I know he gets heaps of snaps of ass and tits. I'm sure he doesn't text them back, but I'm his gf, a little validation pleassssse. It's not a big deal alas I didn't make it a big deal but note worthy nonetheless.. On a positive note my bestie said I looked great in the dress :)

Friday night...

Tonight I spend a very very quiet night reading my Marion Keyes book following a particularly busy day! It began at 530am after being woken up by my puppy who is 10 months old vomiting. It occured in five minute intervals for half an hour needless to say I didn't get any sleep following that. once I cleaned all of that up I walked into work to do a love job for one of my favourite clients.. Then called my best friend to drive to my work (live job took longer than expected alas the car to Laura), once she arrived we drove to Coolangatta to drop off the print materials of said love job and then drive 45 minutes to a private hospital where Laura was going under to have her wisdom teeth removed. I then hightailed it back to work, all of this by 10am... I got home tonight to find gummy bear lying on the lounge, I made her soup and she has finally gone to bed. I'm now sitting at home with Laura asleep my puppy asleep and all my friends and boyfriend are out having a fun Friday night. I'm torn between being a good friend and wishing I was out with my other friends, I feel a little bit bad that I wish I was with my friends but I think it's because I have FOMO... I'm just going to embrace waking up tomorrow fresh as a daisy... :) xx kj

Cool runnings

Soooo I'm almost at the end of my trip, I'm in my last week and a half with my mum in Hawaii. It's nice, struggling with her lack of motivation to do anything, but I'm a ok with that. I've started really watching what I'm eating and exercising everyday.. I'm really excited to lose weight. I've also been taking parasite medications so I'm cleansing, I feel really good about this!! My goal is five kgs in six weeks. Wish me luck.

The end of Brazil for now

I've reached my last destination in Brazil, bonito. In a few days I will cross the Bolivian border and begin a whole new adventure. Brazil has been amazing, I spent almost two months in this fabulous country! I think back to the night I left Argentina at iguazu falls, sitting at the bus stop waiting for the bus to take me to florianapolis full of anticipation and excitement. My thoughts were of what to expect? Beautiful women, crowded cities, I actually thought it to be underwhelming, I expected that it wouldn't be hot, the place would be unattractive, the food to be average and for my experience to leave me feeling mehhhh. Well it hasn't been like that at all. My first stop in florianapolis was amazing and my time here has followed suit. I met some amazing people during my time in Brazil. The food, particularly breakfast has been the best on this trip. The beaches have been breath taking! The sites have been entertaining and worthwhile. My emotional state has been stable. Brazil has taken a little piece of my heart and I will forever hold very fond memories of this place, for many more reasons then mentioned above as well as them. As I begin the descent of my trip I reflect on how lucky I have been to have experienced what I have! Travelling in South America has made me richer in knowledge and appreciation. Given me clarity for my future. Made me forgiving. I am confident. Thanks Brazil. Kj xxx
