zurich, have you researched the Piraha tribe?? you should, their language is so interesting, i think it’s more backup for the linguistic relativity theory (as in, what language you grow up speaking). nobody asked but my favorite phoneme is the voiced labial–palatal approximant
I used to write so much poetry, but I’ve given up so bad, I love reading it… i used to be a big fan of especially Plath and Dickinson but these days I’m not writing my own so I don’t pay poetry any attention. I read through Kaur’s ‘Milk and Honey’ for about 10 mins in the bookstore last week and I am not enjoying the new route poetry is on because of social media. i haaaatttteee social media right now, i talk to like three people with it on a regular schedule haha

yes , you have a point !! i do love loanwords (especially french ones) . i wrote 500 words about the loanword 'karaoke' once . oughhh i love how languages mix with one another because .. languages are just so cool and they have cool words . so why not steal them :3 heehee . code switching is amazing ~ i've recently noticed how my accent changes (as i'm a poc) depending on who i talk to ! it's like .. super standard when i talk to strangers , and then the opposite with family . i feel like these things are overlooked or misunderstood by the everyday passerby , but us linguists can actually understand why !!! (՞⸝⸝o̴̶̷̥᷅ ̫ o̴̶̷᷄⸝⸝՞)و
i have only read a few poems , and i like a very small few of them . one of them is actually by Plath .. i think it's called Tulips ..? my teacher recommended it to me as her teacher did her once , i thought that was amazing >< i will take it forward with me in life !! though i one hundred per cent prefer prose . :3
i also hate social media a lot of the time .. it gives me physical discomfort sometimes !!!! i love to connect with people , like-minded or not , yet i am cursed by having to do it this way . why can't we send letters like in the olden days , huh ? hehe
