When I was between age 8-10 I used to read the msn news and one time there was a news about the first man who was pregnant (a transman who carried the baby bc his gf/wife couldnt) and at that age it was so exciting to me bc as an animal nerd I thought "oh just like a seahorse" so as most excited kids do i shared it with my mom but instead of getting excited she got really mad at me and started yelling and I really couldn't figure out what made her so angry in the first place so I thought maybe reading msn news was something I shouldn't do so I stopped reading it. Anyway this actually didn't effect how I viewed trans people but it taught me that my mom is not exactly the kind of person I can share exciting/interesting news with.
