Odd, charismatic madman
Logan having had one last chance to see his family all together at Connor’s wedding but deciding to skip it for a business deal is such a delicious bookend. His last day on earth! Roman and Connor still holding out their hands please dad please just come. Even after all the frustration boiled over and they’d all said their piece and held their ground it all ended right where it started. And the choice to have no shots of his face as he was dying as a representation of the truest version of Logan the children knew. A faceless man an insurmountable distance away, unresponsive to any amount of crying or cursing or pleading. The memory of the last time they were all together will be of him turning his back.
me in my room talking to no one: see the thing is succession has explicitly stated that business and sex are one and the same, transactional and all about power! "business is my fucking" as Kendall famously said. It's why the language the Roys use around business is so sexual, often just straight-up discussing business deals using allegories for sex and vice versa. but this paradigm is different for Roman because he, famously, doesn't have sex so there's no physical distinction for him as there is for the others. yet he still uses sexual language in business deals and if successful business is fucking, then its as much of an equivalent to fucking as Roman is capable of. so, for him, he's literally fucking matsson like he was fucking eduard and absolutely fucked jeryd mencken into becoming candidate for president. because business is the only way roman can fuck

THINK THEY HAVE "DESPERADO" BY THE EAGLES?
such a brilliant fucking choice for the Cycle Of Abuse Show to have the primary abuser die not even halfway through the final season. i keep seeing people being like 'finally siblings banding together without logan!' as if the point of logan dying here isn't to show that it's not just his presence that ruins them but his absence too -- his sudden departure without time for closure or healing. for three seasons we've been desperate for these fucked up people to get away from their father and now they have, and everything will be worse. their father is dead, and everything is worse now. removing the abuser from the picture does not end the cycle of abuse. the death of the abuser is not a band-aid let alone a cure. the only way for the siblings to actually escape the cycle is to heal on their own terms but, both in life and now in death, logan roy has made that impossible.
this season is driving me truly insane because it's just roman begging and aching to be loved and and wanted and needed but not knowing how to really get it and you can see that emptiness in every inch of his posture and in every facial expression. where is kieran culkin's emmy i mean it this time
So why couldn't you be my father?

Father and daughter often look down on mother together she is not as intelligent as they are cannot reason as they do this collusion does not save the daughter from her mother’s fate
