Day 1418
I love that this joke works in English even though it's not written in English.
the novelty of having pets really does never wear off i’ve had my cat for ten years and i still look at him strolling around like can you believe this. a cat. is everyone seeing this. he’s alive he has bones and all. unbelievable
galar top 3 flight and riding gear sets
"All clothes are gender neutral if you aren't a wuss about it" and "It's perfectly okay if you feel uncomfortable wearing clothes that are typically aligned with a certain gender and want to dress exclusively feminine or masculine" and “regardless of your personal feelings, you have no right to police anyone, cis or trans or nonbinary alike, on what kinds of clothes you think they should or shouldn’t wear” are three concepts that can and should co-exist
Before and after yep hes mustard gravy
Didnt smell good so i poured it down the drain without take a bite
My plugs got a special strain i be buyin in bulk
All the custom energy cards I made over the weekend at Ropecon!✨️ This was so much fun and I'm surprised by how popular it was. I was hoping to get maybe five commissions but I ended up having to decline a few because I was running out of time. Honestly seeing people's faces light up when they got the card was the best. I'm happy I was able to offer something memorable and unique and I honestly loved working on all of these. I will definitely offer these in future events as well if I just have the time. I often attend events alone so my time is usually spent serving customers. I will most likely be doing these at Tracon since I have a friend helping out. I might also consider offering these at Finland Card Expo Ratina edition but with either shipping or pickup at Finland Card Expo MEGA in September. Ratina expo is only for a day so I doubt I can finish many of them but there's plenty of time to work on stuff before Kaapelitehdas so that would work best. I will also offer these online once my ridiculously crammed schedule eases up. I will keep you posted!
Find me and my art elsewhere!
this is my favorite pop team epic
I want to write about the lore regarding the guy in the third panel:
You guys are right that the guy eating food IS the dad from Crayon Shin-Chan. There is an official spin-off that is a gourmet manga starring Shin-Chan’s dad.
The silent man in the third panel is a reference to a certain artist on Pixiv who became a meme because he kept posting gay fanart of himself together with Shin-Chan’s dad, titled “Hiroshi Nohara and me”. Sadly it seems like his account is deleted now.
Anyways that’s the lore! The more you know!
I deadass don’t know how to respond
I won't ever get over the removal of headphone jacks, or micro sd slots, or cd drives. I won't. Fuck everyone and everything
if I ever tell you “lmk what you think if you read/play/watch it!” I am firmly inviting you to send me a play by play minute by minute cataloguing of your thoughts about The Thing
Doppelgänger dilemma
i am terminally A Sucker for characters who have a towering and generally earned ego about their own ability and absolutely no self-worth about themselves as a person at all. intoxicating combo.
The reason most indie novels are written like the author is terrified of doing something wrong is because the overwhelming majority of indie novelists get their start by networking in the violent panopticon of the social media indie publishing community, which favours the people who are able to win at the social policing game.
Okay so this comment got me googling because I hadn't heard of Isabel Fall
And if you also hadn't heard of her go read this because uhh... Holy Shit
I had heard of the whole messed up situation with this story, but I hadn't ever read the synopsis of the story before, and WOW
This story sounds like it could have been a brilliant exploration of gender and warfare and violence but instead it was attacked by people who didn't know how to confront a story that made them uncomfortable, and the author faced horrible consequences.
It's so important to be able to deal with stories that give you uncomfortable feelings in other ways than just attacking it. Being shown new perspectives sometimes has feelings of discomfort because it's an unfamiliar way of seeing the world.

watching my husband get diagnosed with and treated for sleep apnea over the last year was not the thing that radicalized me re: weight and healthcare but my goodness it has solidified my stances.
sleep apnea is more common in people who are fat.
society decided for some reason that this meant that being fat causes sleep apnea. its often difficult to get referrals for sleep apnea treatment if you are fat, because some PCPs will tell you try losing weight first.
turns out!! having untreated sleep apnea causes weight gain in a not-insignificant number of people. it also makes it fucking impossible for many people to lose weight.
my husband worked out the same amount before he got a cpap as he does now. there have been no major diet changes either. yet he has been losing weight -- and gaining muscle tone -- consistently since he started using a cpap in january.
also, his blood pressure -- which was high, which docs blamed on his weight/diet -- went down significantly within one month of starting cpap treatment, before his weight changed significantly.
ANYWAYS. this is getting long. two final thoughts.
- I Want To Strangle Medical Fatphobia With My Bare Fucking Hands
- if you are exhausted constantly for "no reason", and especially if you snore, you should probably ask your doctor about getting tested for sleep apnea. it is extremely common -- estimates are around 1 in 10 people -- and is also wildly under-diagnosed. like, some estimates suggest that 80% of people with moderate-severe sleep apnea are undiagnosed.
