Well, I decided to combine all my art of Wei Ying in this image in this post - 5 out of 14 images - and I don't know how long I'll stick with this option 🤔 But I want to talk a little about why he is like this now: The first is red dots under the eyes. I add this element to draw attention to his look and to offset the bright ribbons and clothing items. The second is flying ribbons. It seems that each one is at least three meters long, and together with very long hair and sleeves, this would be the main source of rage for many who would have to walk like this all the time...huh. But it's beautiful, so let it stay that way! The third thing is short strands near the face. I read that in Ancient China it was not customary to cut hair and none of the adults wore bangs. But there is natural hair growth and why shouldn’t the strands on the face be shorter because they are still growing? Therefore, they are thin, uneven and always of different lengths. I don't know how real this is 🙃 And lastly, he is simply dressed and quite thin because he lived in poverty, was constantly active and was at a very young age.

I try to draw soft facial features for him with an emphasis on his eyes and hope in the future to reach the level of “he looks like a real person”. I've loved this character for a long time, but to be honest, I couldn't stand a person with such a character in real life (although I think his character is ideal in many ways) 😅
