He thinks he’s pulled it off.
Or is pretty convinced that he’d managed to salvage this little questionnaire from disaster-ville the moment he sees Kalee offer him a nod in response. Not noticing it from himself, he subconsciously leans forward just a touch to broadcast his intent to listen closely to what she has to say next.
She’s still hesitant with the information she has, that much is obvious but also understandable; especially as they’re delving right into not what she knows, but what she may think. And it’s gotta be close to home right now, too soon to really get into all this with it all having happened so soon, but. Harry’s becoming increasingly pushed to consider that there may be more pressure to this issue, and solving it, sooner rather than later.
For his own peace of mind, if anything.
But it looks like this might be the end of the road for what Kalee Batrei knows concerning the mysterious fate of her friend and colleague, and with the way her gaze just dropped; he is not keen to push any further. He just doesn’t have it in him to do so.
“Right. Well uh, thanks, for giving me the chance to talk things over with you. I know you’re probably dealing with it your own way, but um… Yeah.”
How else could he say this…?
Tell it like it is, he supposes.
“Just feel like she deserves a… We should know what happened, so. Thanks for sharing what you have. If anything else comes up about it or you think of something, could you reach out and let me know?”
Kalee nods, quiet a moment.
“I know.” She doesn’t let the silence stretch too long. “You said she was a friend...?”
She looks up from the table to Osborn-- and he looks young--
“How long did you know her?”
