Day 14 with the weighted calisthenics HIT training.
Picked the JR routine and did a 6 minute circuit twice followed by a 3 minute Kettlebell circuit. The experts claim that the jump rope and kettlebell are an excellent set of tools individually to shed fat. I figured I might as well give them both a try, combined. So I did the following circuit.
Jump Rope â 1 minute Kettlebell Swings â 1 minute Jump Rope â 1 minute Kettlebell core rowers â 1 minute Jump Rope â 1 minute Kettlebell Clean and press â 1 minute
I did this circuit twice with a minute's break after each round. This was followed by a small 3 minute circuit of just the kettlebell exercises. The routine went like this:
Kettlebell Swings â 1 minute Kettlebell Cleans and press â 1 minute Kettlebell Core Rowers â 1 minute
The total calories burnt were close to 520 calories. This figure was determined based on my training intensity with the jump rope and the kettlebells separately and then added up.
Now after the first session all I can really say is that the kettlebell only routine was more taxing in those three minutes than the routine with the Jump Rope routine. So in order to keep going for longer durations the Jump Rope routine would be ideal. But if youâre looking to make get with your workout quickly; then the kettlebell only workout is a much better idea.
