Jonathan is Jesus but Jolyne is not.

Jolyne and Jonathan are not perfect parallels within the plot line of jjba asmany have said, but rather, she carries the legacy of his mother, Mary Joestar (perfectly named), in the ultimate self-sacrifice and passes this duty on to the next generation, Jonathan aka Jesus and Emporio aka the second coming(?).

Though it’s been pointed out that she ends the cycle in the same way that Jonathan started it, being both symbols of honor and a “true gentleman”, it’s important to note that Jolyne wasn’t last alive in the cycle and Jonathan wasn’t the first In the Joestar line to begin the curse, but it was his mom who sacrificed herself for him to live in the carriage. This parallels the way that Jolyne died to protect Emporio in the end, who then acts as the second coming and heralds the new world after the reset (Armageddon in a way?), using the power that was given to him in order to banish evil.

There is also a lot to say with Dio, Lucifer turned false prophet, raising/guiding the final enemy of the Joestar family but I’m not sure I’m versed enough in the Bible to speak confidently on his place in the story.
