Babe AO3 is a nonprofit. They do not exist under the ethics of capitalism. Fanfiction is legal because no money is ever exchanged around it. (All the money given to AO3 is used to maintain their servers and pay their lawyers to help keep fanfiction legal.)

Fanfiction is one of the few things in this world - probably the one singular form of entertainment that does not exist within the confines of capitalism. So by your own logic, even if you hate some of the content on AO3, it's inherently the only ethical thing to consume in the whole world.

I'm fully convinced studio orange had massive funding pulled from trigun production. It's the only thing that makes any sense of stargaze. When stampede came out they talked about how they had material for many seasons of trigun and hoped to be able to follow through on it. The end of stampede teased Lina and Chronica, neither of whom actually made it into stargaze. Orange trigun team were left with one season to tell the rest of their story and they did the best they could & still delivered some beautiful content. It's not what we wanted, but my point is I don't think it's what they wanted either.

idk what neurodivergent young adult needs to hear this but you are NOT supposed to give 100% at your job. I've gotten more promotions and raises since I started giving 40-60%, which my evil CEO uncle informed me is what bosses actually expect when they say 110%. My mental health has improved tremendously. I've spent 2 out of 5 workdays secretly writing my novel for the last 2 years and I've never been more respected and appreciated.
