Guess how much time you can waste talking about an absent father and all the unnecessary things about him? YEARS!!! This can go on from your pregnancy or the time of the birth of your baby- potentially until their adult years if you don't take control of it. None of the gossip is worth it (no decent human cares what a deadbeat dad is wearing) and the chatter only results in stress- because whatever he is wearing or is not doing for your child -you physically don't have the power to change it. So don't entertain anything about him and don't allow your kids to miss out on quality time with you because you're gossiping about someone who doesn't care about them! I'm glad to see such an outpour of people realizing there is indeed a raging war against women... By disgusting, controlling and clearly narcissistic men. They want to make this a man's world when they can't even carry a human for nine months or give birth. This is an act of jealousy by insecure men who I feel wish they were able to carry the gift of life for themselves. If they really cared about life, they would make sure men who get women pregnant were unable to abandon them and their children! This is the bottom line towards the solution as far as I'm concerned- it's called taking responsibility for your actions on both parts! Hey hun❤️ This sounds like the actions of a man who was afraid of being a father, not a man who had no plans of becoming one or in the two and a half years you were intimate surely he would have said something about it... I think when he realized you were actually going to have his baby he got even more scared of his child growing up without knowing him. I can understand your confusion and maybe even anger towards him as he wanted you to go through an abortion, but I'm glad you were strong enough not to make your decision off his past fearful reasons. My advice to you is to allow him to be the father he wasn't planning to be, he will probably end up loving that child more than he has ever loved anybody! You don't have to get back with him and I wouldn't advise that based on how you're feeling as there needs to be healing, but your ex is choosing to be involved in his child's life and that's the main thing. Don't put any pressure on yourself and allow things to happen naturally as you prepare to give birth and of course be sure to protect your heart! Hey hun❤️After 7 years of being together I understand leaving your ex at seven months pregnant must be an extremely difficult challenge, but sadly it's one that needed to be done nevertheless. I'm glad you did it. If you go back that means you accept and tolerate this, unfortunately he is highly likely to cheat on you again- often either resulting in a pattern of repeated forgiveness and you no longer telling friends and family members, or you eventually finding out about other women over the years and that he never stopped cheating. Your baby growing up in an environment both parents are unhappy in is something you should be considering, you claimed you both were and still are happy, but happy people don't cheat and a baby doesn't better a relationship- it tests it. The mom and dad there all the time image you stated you wanted isn't always positive if the relationship has problems & cheating during pregnancy is a huge one of them. Hun, this is a huge warning which in the long run of things you will regret ignoring. The right thing for you to do is to work on you❤️ Allow your ex to be at the birth if u want and to see his baby whenever it's convenient for you both, but where ur relationship is concerned I'd say u need to do you and heal from your hurt. Counselling might do you some good. You have been betrayed at a time when you deserve maximum loyalty, u have been humiliated by ur baby's fathers actions. Going back to him for your baby's sake will lead to resentment when he does the same thing to u again, it's even worse when it happens years down the line. If I'm honest it sounds like u want to go back to him, but I urge u to seek strength & support from your family & friends, read books that empower women full of wisdom, don't rush into going back to the relationship. Give yourself some time to actually build back up your self-respect then you might see & deal with things a little different. I am sorry you've been put through this, please try to stay positive and do what ultimately in the long term is best- trust in a relationship is important! You didn't deserve this. Hey hun, it sounds like you've lost your self-confidence with men after all this time being out of a relationship or without a date- that's bound to happen when you finally meet a man you are interested in. My advice to you is to simply be yourself. I know that can be hard when you're nervous and distracted by overwhelming emotions, but try to stay focused on staying true to you. When it comes to taking action with the man you're interested in, my take on this is to let him persue you. If he does like u too, he won't resist coming to u. He will find ways of continuing conversations with you, eventually finding excuses to meet up with u or even become upfront about wanting to get to know u. Now, of course u have to let him know that you are interested in him to ensure the persuit... So with that said u have to sometimes flirt a little with him too, compliment his good looks, his appearance & intelligence... Find common, middle, bonding ground between the two of u outside of business... You've been speaking for three months now & this guy may not be moving as fast as you'd like or maybe it could be that because you're attracted to him you might be creating wishful thinking in your mind... Keep track... Who mostly makes contact? When he contacts you what are his preferred methods? Does he send a text or call to hear your voice? Does he seem like the shy type? Don't spend too much time pondering this, but an analysis of it will help give you the wisdom to recognize the difference then come to a conclusion. As a last resort you could always just tell him... It's great you found a man u have feelings for and if things don't happen to turn out as u wish, remember that he isn't the first or last man you will meet and feel happy that at least u know after being abandoned while pregnant and after being alone for five years that you are still capable of feeling butterflies for them!
