this is why you should care about the reddit strike
This is a big concern for the moderators internally too. We've checked our own subs in archive.org to see what is available and will be making steps to make materials available independently of reddit. Archival organizations are working overtime on Reddit right now because they know it might fucking implode soon.

Idk who this guy is but I’m just gonna leave this here without comment and hope the audience I’m indirecting it at finally understands something for once

For many online, Dave Brandt is known more as the Farmer from "But It's Honest Work", but with his death many are learning about his great c
F
Dave Brandt was a leading researcher and farmer involved in no-till farming, which means farming without disturbing the soil.
His decades-long career of no-till farming and different methods and materials used to increase his crop yield have been used all over the world to better agriculture in various climates and places where more modern tilling isn't a viable option.
the earth and everyone who lives here will always owe something to farmers who fight for a better way to cultivate this world instead of destroy it. It’s honest work indeed. Thank you Dave Brandt, may the soil care for you as tenderly as you cared for it.

The concept of "spyware" has disappeared from the common internet lingo after it became the case that the word could now be used to describe nearly every major website and a huge percentage of the most commonly-used software.

man i hate the allure of a good grilled cheese. you make one and eat it and its so good and perfect, maybe a little bland but in a good way and you instantly think “man that was a really good grilled cheese, im not entirely full yet, maybe i’ll have another…” dont do it. don’t even think about it. it’s the opposite of oreos. you make your second grilled cheese and 3 bites into it you’re so overwhelmed by the monotony. “this isnt nearly as good as the last one” despite being practically identical. The grilled cheese is a sacred food, it must be eaten hot, and quick. A second one only allows you to stew in the memories of the past (your previous cheese) and your nostalgia clouds your mind, creating an epic fail bite in your newest creation of dairy and grain. Show some restraint.
I have taken “do not make a second grilled cheese” as law and I need you to understand that it has improved my life so much.

Ubers charge more if you order them from certain places, like bars where they know you have no choice if you’re drunk. Walk somewhere else just not anywhere that serves alcohol and then call for one. I’ve had my $40 dollar Uber go down to $20 before but it’s not always that dramatic.
That’s great information! Lumbridge home teleport costs 0gp every 30 minutes.
the idea that your friends won't like you if you're too weird is wrong you just need better friends for example one time I told a friend whenever I was losing my mind I laid down on the floor under my desk and stared at it until I was better and next time she visited me she taped a bag of salami snacks to the underside of my desk with a message saying "going insane all by yourself, handsome?" which I only saw months later when I had a breakdown. that's friendship.
There is nothing that takes the teeth out of existential dread and despair like experiencing unprompted and unexpected camaraderie with strangers
happy 4/20
hey ok hey this is important so let me share this:
the biggest realization i've had is that you can just walk up to people in social games and talk to them. it might seem super intimidating if people are already in a group but you just, WALK up, talk to them. and nothing bad is necessarily gonna happen. i decided to pretty much do this for probably the first time recently and it led to me somehow being part of the temporary inner circle of the group. i was one of the people who could call to the people at the outskirts of the convo who seemingly wanted to join in, and you know what, THAT'S REALLY FUN!!!!! IT'S SUPER FUN TO BE INCLUSIVE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
