One of the best canvases where God can paint His colorful grace is on the canvas of our brokenness.
PRAY FOR INDONESIA 🇮🇩 AND PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭.
May the LORD of hosts have mercy on these countries and restore the harmony and unity in the government leadership and in every citizen in each respective country.
Let us pray that there may be a reformation of hearts and that greed, injustices and corruption may continuously be disclosed to the public and put an end to it with justice, honesty and transparency.
Let us put our trust in the LORD while doing our best as we participate in supporting and ending the political injustices, economic inequality and power abuse. I'm well aware that the problem and the reason behind it in these two countries is far more severe than my post can touch but I pray that good, justice, compassion and love prevail at the very end by the help of God's grace.
2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
God bless, Indonesia! 🇮🇩
God bless, Philippines! 🇵🇭

EPHESIANS 4:27
Ephesians 4:27 (NIV)
"Do not give the devil a foothold."
Reflection:
The devil is expert at seizing opportunity in putting us down and holding us back from the grace of God. According to apostle Paul, Satan loves to creep, insist a foothold in our life and whisper accusation and lies in our heart about ourselves and about God whenever he caught us in the act of falling short of the glory of God. It is Satan’s delight to see someone fall and be ashamed because of their sin. The Bible says that Satan is like a starving and salivating “roaring lion” waiting patiently and looking intently for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). He rejoices whenever he sees a child of God sin and walks away from the holy presence of God because of guilt and use this downfall to devour believers with deceit by taking advantage of our humiliations.
Needless to say, not all of our downfall is caused by the works and intervention of Satan. Nonetheless, Satan is able to amplify and oppress us through the mental anguish and emotional suffering brought by the mistake that we are guilty of doing. It is Satan’s masterplan and goal to keep us from coming back to God by redirecting our focus and attention to the depths of our sin and shame away from the height of God’s grace and forgiveness.
The word of God, through the apostleship of Paul, challenges us to evaluate and examine our lives if our spirit is tainted and filled with malicious and ungodly character because such hidden evil within us can be the reason for us to unintentionally invite Satan to enter and gain foothold in our life.
Nevertheless, the word of the LORD reminds us that no sinner is beyond the reach of His grace. The Bible tells us that when we confess our sins to God, God is faithful, and He is willing to forgive us (1 John 1:9). God’s gracious love is so immeasurable and eternal that no malicious devices of Satan can measure up to it. Paul, being an apostle of Christ, knew how Satan operates. In the same way, we Christians must not be ignorant about the evil schemes of the devil by equipping ourselves with the blessed word of God.

THE GOD OF WILDERNESS
Deuteronomy 29:5 (NIV)
"Yet the LORD says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet."
Reflection:
The wilderness of our life comes when we choose the comfort of our imprisoning past rather than the fear of the blessed future that God plans for us. Nevertheless, the solace comfort that the Bible teaches us is that God remains God even in the midst of the wilderness of our life.
Although we may be lost from this life of ours, yet we are never lost from the gracious sight of God. God is capable to restore those who fall and to find those who are lost.
Soli Deo Gloria!
IT'S BEEN A WHILE...
A good and blessed day, everyone! It's been a while since I posted here at Tumblr. I've been busy doing ministry and was given another blessed privilege to deliver a sermon last Sunday in the book of Judges, the story of Samson at Jesus The Only Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
While studying the text, re-reading and reflecting on the story of Samson, what struck me the most is the fact that God commanded Samson to be a Nazirite unlike the previous judges of Israel. So, I asked, "why didn't God just give Samson the anointing strength without giving him the hair that weakens him?"
As I study, read and reflect repeatedly on the story of Samson for the previous Sunday sermon, I realized that God wanted Samson to understand that every anointing requires following.
The same is true with us. There are times when God will include costs in his blessings for us to realize that a God-centered favor includes the divine reality of obedience. When God graciously calls us to obey, God will enable and empower us to endure and follow His will. Along with that favor, expect that at the very end, it is always for our good but all the more for His glory.
Brothers and sisters, there are times when God will lead us to a valley of death so perilous that we will desire to turn back or carry a cross so heavy to the point that we will want to let go. Such things are the common cost of following God. But the Bible reminds us that the God who called us to follow is the same God who will also sustain and lead us till we accomplish.
Keep going, keep calling and keep following. For those who truly and genuinely follow the Lord will be met with victory so glorious that our present suffering will never ever measure up to it.
Soli Deo Gloria!
Not all miracles are instant. Some happens through process.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR WAITING SEASON
Moses was a shepherd before he became an effective leader.
David was a shepherd and musician before he became a great King.
Peter was a fisher before he became a fisher of men.
Brothers and sisters, God can use our current situation as a preparation for the future blessing He has stored for us.
While others have already stopped reading, the Author of our story is still writing.
God's grace is able to make us more than who we are before.
God is able to turn our tragic past into a blessed future.
