people don’t enjoy shipping anymore. the point of shipping isn’t the catharsis of watching them kiss onscreen, it’s grabbing the characters and mashing their faces together like you’re five years old playing Barbie in your room again. it’s to take one moment of eye contact in canon and read that over and over and over again with twenty different writers’ interpretations of the characters internal monologues if they were in love. it’s to see the characters interact and cheer because you know that’s another moment to add to your list of canon compliant fic ideas. you’re stressing yourself out, this is supposed to be fun!

Okay, heres her actual origin:

Noctis found Luna 1-2 years after sunlight was returned to Eos,

He and some of the Kingsglaive were responding to a call somewhere near Niflheim were reports of "daemon-like-activity" kept emerging. They ended up finding a destroyed town and what looked like the remnants of daemonic creatures slowly dissipating in the sun.

At the center of it? A crying infant held in the arms of a dead woman.

So what happened here?

Somehow Noctis survived and defied his destiny.

The instant he and Ardyn were destroyed, the moment light returned to the world, a baby was born somewhere in Eos.

Through potentially divine means, the same grace which returned Noctis to his family brought the shattered fragments of Ardyn's soul to merge with that of the new life being born.

Luna's soul holds pieces of Ardyn's. Both the last existing remnants of the Starscourge manifested in the man he died as, as well as the healing powers of the man he once was. These two versions of Ardyn both exist somewhere within her and manifest as basicaly an angel and a devil on her shoulder, whispering to her. As she grows she might even be able to understand them.

When angered, when emotional, when significantly hurt or scared, the Starscourge within her is unleashed. it is a disturbing sight to see such a lovely child take on a gruesome appearance. She fights hard to keep this side of her under control.
