Octo-NOT APPROPRIATE
What I heard: Masturbate tentacle reach!

So this is what it’s like to have a baby in your 30’s.
I’m exclusively breastfeeding but I can’t lose weight and I just got my period.
Absolute fuckery.
will literally never get over the existence of the donner party memorial picnic area
Also it’s haunted AF. I drove through there many moons ago in the middle of the night, and stopped at the rest area to pee. I’ve never felt more unsettled and creeped out.
Honestly, If I ever need a lawyer, I would trust this man with my case more than any other lawyer I’ve ever met.
Wholesome goodness. And I echo what the person above said- would hire for legal needs.
Stop convincing yourself you’re wasting your life away. The time you’ve spent resting and healing was and is necessary. You’re not a waste of a person if you find yourself struggling right now. Healing, recovering, sitting with your pain is foundational. It’s not a waste. You are still whole.
Absolutely needed this today.
I realized I never posted about the baby being born- she showed up 3 days late after the longest induction ever (isn’t each birth supposed to be progressively easier???) and is the perfect little Scorpio baby. Her name is Genevieve. ♥️
She had jaundice which made me cry because I’ve never had a jaundice baby before, but 2 days on the bili blanket and she was on the mend. She’s already over a pound heavier than her birth weight and grew about 1.5”. Still exclusively breastfeeding, which is a blessing. It’s actually made me consider changing careers (ya girl is BURNT OUT on social work) and looking into becoming a lactation consultant.
We’re all obsessed with her, although the adults are getting very little sleep. Love watching the kids with her.
37 weeks and some days. Ready to have this baby already. Tired of the pelvic and back pain. Still have no name finalized.
The animals have been acting really weird today and part of me wonders if I’m going into labor soon but I’m just barely 34 weeks, so I doubt it.
And as I was typing this we had an earthquake lol so I guess there’s my answer.
I can’t decide on a name for this baby and that’s very unlike me... I need to have everything planned. We have a long, complicated Eastern European last name thanks to my husband so that has to be taken into consideration when deciding. And we’re not sharing any of our possibilities with our friends and family because my MIL teased us about Abby’s original name so much we changed it, and I’m not dealing with that again. So far our front runners are:
Sedona (my favorite place)
Luna
Freya
Phoenix (symbolic life reference)
Hazel
Zoe
Genevieve (Evie for short)
Georgia
But I also have like 10 other names I keep tossing around. I have some personalized things I’d like to buy for the nursery that have to wait because I can’t effing figure out what to call this baby. First world problems absolutely.
Tonight in my session my therapist told me, “you went into this field of work because you’re trying to save yourself, your child self.” It seems so simple, but I truly never thought of it like that.
Surprise baby is a girl!
A very active little girl, though I still can’t feel most of it. Unless this changes toward the end, I think I finally understand how some people don’t know they’re pregnant until they deliver. After I’ve spent my entire adult life talking shit about it.
Honestly I don’t think it’s too much to ask that my kids not leave pee on the toilet seat. The one you actually sit on. I have this conversation DAILY and nothing changes.
Some quick brags about my daughter, who is 9 going on 29 (and whose beliefs fall so much in line with my own, even though we’ve never discussed it as I like to let them come to their own conclusions & then have an open conversation):
- despite going to Christian school for several years, she decided reincarnation makes more sense than heaven and she thinks we’ve all lived many lives before this one that we can’t remember
- she doesn’t know the term “pro-choice” or what an abortion is, but she knows there’s a way to not have a baby if you’re pregnant, and believes people shouldn’t be forced to have babies if they’re not ready
- during the “period talk,” she was outraged that feminine hygiene products cost money because “it’s not like we want this to happen”
We’re considering moving to Texas. So that’s a thing that’s going on right now.
