Welcome to the Republic of Adamas, your island getaway from all your extraplanar troubles! Located just to the left of Celestia, life is easy in our sanctuary — far from the stuffy history of Farrago and isolated from the hustle and bustle of Celestia, your time in Adamas is your opportunity to kick back and enjoy a moment of quiet thought. The isle of Alla is likely where you’ll spend the majority of your stay. A meeting place for those of any alignment, it’s located just above our undersea capital of Delphinus. Around its coast, resorts like the luxurious Ĉielo can be found, each one tailored to the needs of your alignment. Ensure you visit our natural wonders — Luno Beach is the most famous, naturally. Its historical significance as the location of the peace treaty between the Confederacy and Celestia is not to be understated, nor is its beauty — at night it truly does “glimmer as the argent moon,” as Queen Cynthia once wrote. The cloud forest of Cinnabar is less famous, but not to be missed — the mist rising in the blue morning, the gold of the sun cutting through the fog, the green of our beloved trees — it’s a sight to behold. Do some shopping in the bustling town of Aquaregia! The only abovesea city in Adamas, it’s home to our largest mall, lush botanical gardens, and several historic art museums.

I'm tired, apparently. Slept, essentially, until 3:30pm. From 10:00 last night.
I don't have long until I move back in. Less until I'm packing and preparing. And I have no progress made on my capstone. Maybe I'll start tracking that.
The Confederacy of Abyssal States

The Abyssal Confederacy
Little is known about the Confederacy of Abyssal States. Located between the Kingdom of Farrago and the Republic of Adamas, its expansionist tendencies were the core conflict of the Planar War. Travel and trade with the Plane of Fire is extremely limited — the only city ever opened to outsiders is Canto, its capitol. Home to the Abyssal Lord and several high-ranking politicians and public figures, it’s the most glamour and luxury the plane has to offer — designed for those aligned to any element, skyborn may fly overhead as seaborn surf through fire-lined canals. Life outside the capitol is the subject of much speculation and debate — despite the government’s alleged “careful allocation” of resources, it seems evident that more resources flow into the capitol than out. If the Abyssal Lord and his cabinet were more willing to accept trade and assistance from the other planes, much could be done to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. Alas…

Elijah “Eli” Tate Napier (@dogboyeli), born August 28, 520 PLNR (556 ABYS), is a seventeen-year-old earthborn boy living in Canto, Abyss. Eli has worked up quite the reputation in his borough of Canto’s as a lovable rascal. He’s a great role model to his two younger brothers, helpful around the house for his parents, and always ready to lend a hand to a neighbor in need. Attending Cavillier might be the first thing Eli’s done for himself in a long time. At the Academy, he’ll major in computer science and minor in alchemy.

Julia “Jules” Laurel Renaud (@redrunnr), born January 28, 520 PLNR (555 ABYS), is an eighteen-year-old skyborn girl living in Canto, Abyss. Jules often finds herself in the company of her many cousins, as her skyborn mother is busy with her duties as the Celestial ambassador to the Abyss, and her sparkborn father, heir to the Renaud name, spends his time managing the family estate and fortune. Cavillier Academy is the next steppingstone in her goal to live up to the family name—one she considers her highest, proudest duty. As such, she intends to leap into the new year with all the confidence of a skyborn and all the power of a sparkborn. As a Renaud, both are, after all, her birthright. Majoring in alchemy and political science, along with minoring in history, is sure to keep Julia busy.

really love a corruption arc where the character is trying way too hard to make it work but they're in over their head and it's uncomfortable and embarrassing and they're swallowing their own puke every time they do something awful and damp with sweat and trembling but insistent that they can do this, they want it, they're not a child, but it's like they're playing dressup in clothes that are too big for them and trying to convince their own reflection in the mirror that they fit and it's just no fun to watch at all
+ then they find inside them a capacity for cruelty far more upsettingly vicious than anyone could have imagined and decide that because they enjoy how unafraid it makes them feel for the first time in as long as they can remember it must have been their true nature all along instead of something that had to be starved in the dark until it grew desperate enough to claw its way out 🙂↕️

Today I... feel it. It's like it's grasping at my ankles, pulling at my hair--the urge to stop.
Be at rest.
But not in a recuperating way.
I'm tired. Everything is about to start up again and I'm honestly not sure I'm ready to handle it all yet. I don't feel completely myself, still. It's frustrating.
I'm about to meet up with a friend. We're going to go dance, listen to some music... It's a brew festival. I'll be home late.
