Just stumbled across your Spider Deku AU!! Absolutely peak! I am so curious, since in the "intro" comic you showed like... the vestiges' colors, how all that One for All stuff weaves into the AU? Either way, I'd love a lore dump!!
In this weaving of the lore I do imagine it kind like the miraculous in Miraculous ladybug. It’s something that’s been passed down from wielder to weilder like all for one. And the spider, stems from OFA kinda like an entity??
It’s up to the previous Owner to get the new wielder on their feet.
The OFA for Izuku is the Spiderman power in a simplistic sense. Because it is a Spiderman AU.
OFA “the entity” found Izuku, bit him and left Toshinori to take the kid under his wing.
The entity takes shape in a lot of different ways for its wielders. Different powers for different wielders.
Izukus is the general spider like capabilities.
Toshinori is All Might through and through.
I’m toying with the idea that he’ll get the other abilities- but at this moment this is where I’m sitting.
As for more lore….this is a world without quirks. Only a few are very lucky to be superhumans. Very much marvel universe. Quirks are uncommon. Extremely uncommon.
Which draws me to Katsuki Bakugo.
Who I considered giving a quirk- and decided I’d like to give him the ‘less exciting’ change of being the straight man in this romantic buddy comedy.
He is our Gwen Stacy. In another universe, he’s a Spiderman. Like Spiderverses multiverses of SpiderGwens.
But in this one, Katsuki is just Katsuki. He’s a sixteen year old kid, he’s in a band (much to his distaste for the rest of his band mates). His father is a doctor and when he grows up he’ll still be in the line of mundane ‘hero work’- (Fire fighter, EMT, Doctor.)
I don’t really see a world where he isn’t doing a first responder type of job in his future. Since that’s engrained so much in the motivations of the Katsuki we know and love.
But I wouldn’t be mad about him going the Culinary approach…
Which leads to where Izuku and Peter Parker combine and divulge.
Izuku is still our loveable nerd. Like Peter. Lego Death Star building Peter. Who goes to math competitions and has secular interests in anything science related.
Izuku still holds similar interest. But I think he drifts more on the Sociology level. In MHA Izuku thrives in quirk analysis which makes him a better strategist. Which is useful in the MHA world as a hero. But what about daily life?
His big understanding is people. Which is why he’s able to understand Katsuki so well.
And which will make him a better teacher in his further career as he keeps on as Spiderdeku.
They don’t pay people to do hero work here like they do in MHA.
So his day job is teacher.
