Someone's introducing forgeries to the market. Well done forgeries, but fakes all the same.

I make a living just fine without my ‘fair share’. I don’t care about money that much, anyway.
Caring and needing it are two differently things. That being said, I'm just upstairs. If you want random food or drinks or anything. We always end up having too much at the apartment and Danny can be a baby about leftovers.
No. You can’t.
Fair enough. If you ever change your mind, though, I'm a floor above you. The last thing you want is to be cheated out of your fair share... Artists already have the short end of the stick.
I’m not good.
Oh please. No good artist ever thinks their good. The same goes for poets, writers, and chefs, go figure.
Can I see? This is literally my job. If you're not good, I won't even sugar coat it.
Yeah, I don’t think so.
Why not? If you're good, you could totally sell.
…Right.
Maybe one day soon I'll be appraising your art.
I’ve never really considered myself an artist, though… It’s just a hobby.
Do what you love, right?
I document my trips with drawings, mostly. Sometimes I’ll buy a sketchbook when I reach somewhere new and then won’t leave until I’ve filled it.
Really? That's quite clever actually. You realize that you could potentially make a living just off of that, right? Call yourself an artist instead of saying your unemployed and you're halfway there.
I… wouldn’t consider myself someone who would run a blog. I’m not so much of a writer. And it would just feel like I was talking to myself.
Also, I don’t take pictures of wherever I go.
It's a thought is all. If it's not for you, that's fine.
Yeah, I never really found a job that really suits me. I much prefer seeing the world than being stuck in an office.
Have you ever thought of making a blog for that? I have a friend who runs a travel blog and she makes a pretty penny off of it. Enough to keep her living here and send her traveling for new material to write about. Granted, she lives in a one bedroom, but if you don't mind that...
Maybe you should give professional blogging a shot.
Unemployed. Just travelling, mostly. It’s a big world out there.
Ah. I was gonna say, if you travel a bit it'd have to be either for work or because of a lack of it. But you are indeed right; it is a big world.
As long as you like it, then do it. That’s what I live by.
It's a sentiment not shared by all, though.
In any case, what do you do?
Well, I travel a lot and I go to pretty much every museum or gallery I can get my hands on. I was planning on going to Danny’s gallery sometime, actually. It sounds pretty neat. Do you work there, or somewhere else?
It's a nice little place. Not as big as the ones people always hear about, but it's got some lovely art. Don't tell him I told you that, though. Oh no, I just am contracted by him. I own an art appraisal firm of my own, so galleries and auction houses contract my firm to give them numbers. Not exactly glamorous, but I get to see a lot of really good art this way.
Sounds… interesting? I mean, I love art and stuff, but I’m not all technical about it like that.
The technical is quite interesting. I'm horrible at art; I leave the actual creation to my brother. But I can appreciate it, which is why I went into analyzing and pricing rather than creating and selling. Danny finds it horribly boring when I start talking about the logistics of it all, which is amusing since he does run a gallery.
What is it you do, exactly, that I apparently care enough about for you to mention it to me?
Art Appraisal. Which is usually quite interesting on its own. Boring days mean I get to look at a handful of pieces that are usually quite good.
Less boring days, like today, mean I get to brush up on what exactly happens when someone introduces fakes into the market and what it does for the value of a piece. I find it fascinating. Most people... not so much.
Well work is getting quite interesting... hm.
Seven days!!!
…fine. Small lunch though, no more than fifteen dollars or I help pay.
Twenty. If only because then I can do it with one bill, no breaking it.
