“Once I realized and truly accepted that this is a disease [the depression and anxiety] and I had been on and off medication in college and after college- but I did the thing where I was like, “No, I’m gonna do this myself and I’m gonna deal with it- these are just emotions”- I was in a fairly new relationship and I was like, “Oh, wow. If I want this to last, if I want to have any chance of this working or finding out if it’s not gonna work, I need to take this seriously and go on the medication”. It helped and so I started writing a little bit, I started writing a blog and I started realizing how many people- if it was one person, five people, ten people- who would respond and be like, “I feel like that”. Then with Frozen- it’s been the biggest thing I’ve done in my career- I just figured I may as well use that as a platform for something else.“
