I met Joe Heschmeyer and Cy Kellett from Catholic Answers, and we got to talk for a bit. They asked how I came to the faith, and when I told them I’m an Albanian ex-Muslim, they were genuinely shook. They even asked to take a picture with me to send to another apologist I had mentioned earlier.

What stood out to me the most, though, was how kind and humble they both were, truly down-to-earth and joyful to talk to. Such a beautiful encounter I won’t forget.

I believe the excommunication of the SSPX was well deserved because obedience is essential in the Catholic Church. When a group openly defies the authority of the Pope and acts independently, it challenges the very structure that holds the Church together. Even if their intentions were to preserve tradition, acting outside of legitimate authority creates division rather than faithfulness. Discipline in this case was necessary to protect the order of the Church.
