Narration: It all started about a week ago at the company party celebrating our boss' retirement from the company after nearly 30 years of tears, sweat, and hard work. It was also the night that I met...him. His name is Katou Youji, he works in the marketing department on the floor below me. He's the head of the department and would sometimes make frequent stops by my department when we had a meeting over all the departments. But lately, I've noticed that he's been coming around more often than usual. At first, I thought he was just making a few errands, but come to find out he was actually stopping by to see someone. It's not company policy to have intimate relations with other staff members but for someone as attractive and as social as him, it's hard not to get into a little bit of extracurricular fun. I just wished that it had stayed that way but that night at the party...
Setting: The company party is being held at a bar in the inner city, everyone is eating, chatting, with a few drinks in between. Iwaki arrives a little late and since there were no seats left by his co-workers he is forced to sit in the only open seat left by Katou.
Iwaki: *sighs, then makes his way over to the seat by Katou* Excuse me, do you mind if I take this seat?
Katou: *looks over* Oh, yeah go ahead.
Katou: Why are you so late?
Katou: Sorry to hear that. Is everything okay?
Katou: Good, I'm glad you made it. I might actually have fun at this party. *drinks some of his beer*
Iwaki: It can't be that hard to have fun with me attending.
Katou: Now I finally have a chance to talk with you.
Iwaki: Weren't you just talking to your co-workers before I came?
Katou: Yeah but I always talk to them.
Iwaki: *nods his head* Okay.
Iwaki: Can I just get a water, please?
