The notion that a “witch” is simply a gendered term for a wizard stems in part from a popular misunderstanding of the relationship between magic and gender. While many forms of magic are, in fact, gender specific, most wizards would find the conclusion that this means there are exactly two kinds of wizard laughably quaint. For a wizard, gender is less a facet of identity and more an engineering problem, and the discovery or creation* of new genders to meet particular thaumaturgic needs remains a major focus of wizarding research.
* Though this may seem a subtle distinction to the unintiated, the question of whether genders are created or merely discovered forms the core of one of wizarding culture’s most contentious philosophical debates; outsiders are well advised to avoid the topic entirely!

Astral projection’s exclusivity to airbending explained
“It’s a high level airbending move–with a little spirituality thrown in.” -Jinora
The reason astral projection is an airbending technique is because air as an element is considered one with spirit. In many languages, the words for air, breath and spirit are all the same or have the same root. Hebrew has ruach (breath/spirit) and Greek has pneuma (air/wind/spirit). In European and Judeo-Christian tradition and literature, breathing on someone is seen as a means of anointing them with one’s own spirit. In Doctor Who, the ninth Doctor invokes this idea when he offers delegates from many different worlds “the breath from [his] lungs” as a peace offering. In the Chronicles of Narnia, Aslan imbues his followers with strength by breathing on them–a direct reference to the times in the Bible when Jesus Christ did the same to His disciples. The fact that spirituality is basically inextricable from airbending is also why airbending is the only one of the bending arts that can diminish if the bender loses their spirituality. All the other elements stay as strong as they were–though fire, which is also dependent on the breath, does suffer a loss of versatility and finesse.

Take a dollar. Write an attainable amount of money that you need on it. Fold it up and put it in your left pocket. Light a green candle and let it burn until it blows out on it’s own. While lighting the candle, say “I have everything I need. The universe provides for me.”
