Here's a little test animation I did of a Magic 8 Ball turning. It started as a flat EPS file and I used basic 3D motion to make it look like it was turning from front to back. I don't think it's terribly impressive - the "8" could be more warped and curved on the turn, so could the "Outlook Good" section - but I think I did an alright job with taking a flat image and making it look like it's turning.
Opening title sequence for the JAN14 Centergy education session "What's The Skinny?"
The look was supposed to be noisy and grainy black and white behind the scenes footage with some light ambient sounds from the set-up process.
This was one of the first major in-house shoots using Sony EX3s.
This project ultimately got abandoned because of content, but the opener was well-received.
I was asked to create a graphic with some balls bouncing into cups but there was one problem: I don't have any kind of 3D program - except for After Effects. Using AE and some basic 3D knowledge, I tried my best to create what they wanted with positive results (I think!). The "X"'s represent placeholders for logos and to show that there is some kind of lighting there.

Spinning Calendar
Using part of this wonderful tutorial, I made a simple spinning calendar graphic that was used for a Sales piece.
Lower third rotoscope - Version 2
Font is INTRO REGULAR with a stroke for better visibility. The background video is supposed to look grainy and noisy.
This was used as part of a larger intro piece for an education segment.

Water drops - shot for a client
Shot on a Nikon D3100 The only light source was the light table the glass was sitting on. Items used: Small glass bowl, room temperature water, gel food coloring* diluted in room temperature water, a light table *The gel food coloring was the only food coloring I could find, unfortunately. I plan on playing around with it more in the future.
Like Us Test Animation
Using the wonderful tutorial by Michael Jones, I created my own version of the same look for a possible social media promo spot
Like Us! Test animation
This was based off of the "Web Check" bump as seen on Cartoon Network but altered for social media promo purposes. I loved the CN animation so much I just had to try it!
