it's no surprise, but i think it's really endearing how wanderer found purpose in the pursuit of knowledge. like he came back from irminsul with a love of learning and an intellectual hunger that can't be sated. someone who previously would have scoffed at the futility of higher education and belabored the limits of human knowledge now finds fulfillment in pursuing it as an idle past-time. and it's hilarious cause as much as he won't admit it, he's not even a casual scholar in the slightest, he's a very active and engaged one who regularly publishes and peer reviews papers and has also apparently, within the short span of his fledgling academic career, already written more essays than sandrone has in her entire life. he's prolific as hell! and he finds it fun! it's almost like learning saved his life!
